Ancient Egypt Makeup: Everything comes in through the eyes.
Makeup begins with a bath, followed by applying perfumed oil all over the body before applying makeup to the eyes.

In ancient Egypt, from the Old Kingdom to the New Kingdom, both men and women applied black or green eye shadow around the eyes.
This makeup had a religious meaning of preventing demons from entering through the eyes, but it was more effective in preventing eye diseases that were prevalent in ancient times, and gradually became more of a fashionable element.

At first, it was common to paint black over the eyes and green underneath, but by the New Kingdom period, it seems to have become fashionable among women to use only black to frame the eyes to make them appear more clearly.
Just as paintings and statues can be given soul by making eyes, the impression can be manipulated to a great extent by the eyes alone.
Eye shadow is applied inside both upper and lower lids, and lines are drawn toward the ears.
