Okamoto, Yusaku

The topic I chose is Present for a Special Day. The reason why I chose this topic is because there is something that I have really cared about for a long time.

The Peter Rabbit stuffed animal in the photo was a gift from my grandmother for passing the junior high school entrance exam. It was the first time in my life that I had to take an entrance exam, and for me as an elementary school, it was quite grueling, both mentally and physically. I still remember my mother telling me that my homeroom teacher was worried about me because of this. Under such circumstances, I was very happy that I was able to endure various temptations and successfully pass the examination. Therefore, the stuffed animal that was presented to me at that time seems to be a form of my various thoughts and feelings up to that time. I was also unable to visit my grandmother in Fukushima during the examination period, so I felt even more strongly about this stuffed animal.

I think again that these circumstances, and the fact that my grandmother gave it to me, raised the sentimental value of this stuffed animal to the top of my list.
