I’m so excited that you are reading this! This Girl Reads...and Writes has been a dream of mine for a few years. In November of 2016, I just decided to go for it and I began planning and researching how to create my own magazine. This magazine focuses on indie authors and the readers and bloggers that love them!

................................... Working on putting this magazine together has been loads of fun. I’ve been able to work with some amazing people—including Drue Hoffman, Stephanie Phillips and Ashlee Taylor. It’s taken up so many hours of my day but the end result is something I’m so proud of. I hope you love it as much as I do! I wanted a magazine that was for everyone. For readers, I’d love it to be a place where you discover new to you authors through our reviews and interviews, learn more about some of your favorite authors, get your reading on with our review opportunities and free books and of course connect with other likeminded readers. For bloggers, I want it to be a place where you can grow and learn ways to make your blog stronger and check out and sign up for our events. Authors, for you, I want this magazine to be a go to place for all things marketing and to use as a source to grow as a writer.

I’ve been in this industry now for over five years when I started my blog The Book Enthusiast. Since then I’ve discovered so many amazing authors that have brought me countless hours of enjoyment through their words. My passion for reading turned into a business four years ago when I launched Book Enthusiast Promotions (BEP). Through BEP I’ve been able to have a small hand in the success of countless authors. It’s been very rewarding. Two years ago I added author to my resume when I published Finding Us (A Nucci Securities Novel) and it’s been so amazing to sit down and let all the stories in my head become stories that I can share. Now, I bring you This Girl Reads...and Writes and my wish is that this magazine brings a little bit of entertainment and connects you with a whole lot of amazing undiscovered talents that will find their way onto your reading lists. Happy Reading,

only so many places you can hide in New York. There's something about Scarlett that intrigues Lorenzo and that's lucky for her because if not he'd have killed her on the spot. Bored out of his ever lovin' mind Lorenzo takes a liking to her and decides he's going to help her. Who cares that he'll be taking on the Russian mob, that's just another day in the life or Lorenzo Gambini.

Menace by J.M. Darhower Genre: Dark Suspense & Mafia 5 STARS Lorenzo Gambini is so funny! Oh, he's also a bastard and exudes sexiness. I think his scare makes him sexier then your average bastard mobster! ;) First before I go on let me say JM is one of my favorite authors and here's why! Her stories are always captivating and surprising. There's a twist to this book and usually I'm very good at figuring those out soon but not in Menace. I was totally surprised. JM warns that this book has some darkness to it. I read a lot of dark romances and I didn't find it to be that bad. This is a duet though so maybe book 2 is where all the dark lies. Anyway, I'll stick to her warning. Lorenzo wakes up each morning to see what sort of trouble (or fun) he can get into. He has a reputation and he's totally willing to show you why that is. However, trouble seemed to find him one night in the form of a feisty redhead named Morgan. Morgan (aka Scarlett) has secrets and they involve one bad ass motherfucker. She's done an amazing job running from him but there's

I loved this story and Lorenzo! I just love his "who gives a fuck" attitude. He does what he wants, when he wants to do it and doesn't give a shit about the consequences. The chemistry with Scarlett is something you'll get sucked into right away. If you love mob stories you'll love this! And what you uncover at the end...OMG!!! Really I can't believe I didn't see it! 5 stars for sure! *ARC provided for honest review.

***Don't read this review if you've not read Menace.*** Words have failed me for several days after finishing this book. I really think this series as a whole is one of my top favorite. Lorenzo is a man that you just can't help but love. His "don't give a shit" attitude is awesome and well refreshing. He's struggling with a bit with his emotions. He's feeling things he's never felt, it confuses him and he doesn't like it....like at all. I even remember one spot where his brother calls him out on it and it's pretty funny how he handles the confrontation. Scarlett, when we left her in Menace, is pretty screwed. All she ever wanted was her daughter back but her captor has other plans. He wants her obedience and her love.

Grievous by J.M. Darhower Genre: Dark Suspense & Mafia 5 STARS *Scarlett however wants his head on platter and fights him every step of the way. She knows his games but that doesn't make anything easier. Lorenzo is at a loss for how to save Scarlett. His usual MO is to just blow shit up and let the chips fall where they may. But he can't do that. There's too much at stake and the last thing he wants it is to hurt or kill Scarlett. This book is action packed and full of funny thoughts and comments from Lorenzo. I couldn't get enough of him or Scarlet. Their connection and chemistry is off the charts. They are unconventional and reckless and that just works. Get ready for an amazing ride. There are parts where I was just gutted. I had to actually stoop reading for nearly a day because the anxiety I felt was just out of control. I just wanted someone to tell me it would all be okay. Eventually I put my "big girl panties" on and finished the book. I was not disappointed and neither will you. If I could give it more than 5 stars on here I would. AMAZING!!!

King's Captive by Amber A. Bardan will keep you swiping the pages on your Kindle. I couldn't stop reading and every free moment I had was spent reading this book over the last few days. Compared the rest of the book, the beginning could be viewed as a bit slow but I was still engaged in the book and found that it quickly picked up. Julius King is one complicated and sexy character. I was immediately captivated by him. He's just my kind of man I love in a book. Powerful, dominating, and rich.

King's Captive by Amber Bardan Genre: Erotic Romance & Suspense 5 STARS

Sarah is his captive and is living on his island with him. Unlike other books when you think of the word captive you might think of all sorts of dark and twisted things but in this book that's not the case but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the means to keep her in line. Okay, so here's where my review becomes difficult because although this book was

This book! OMG THIS BOOK!!!! He Will Be My Ruin will keep you on your toes and up late reading because you just need to know!!! You think you know but you don't ....trust me! Celine discovers her best friend has killed herself but she doesn't believe it and she goes to great length to discover the truth and this is all I'm saying. KA Tucker is amazing. I love a great suspense book but usually I'm not a big fan of a "who done it" books but this one - it has everything. You must read. I promise you won't be disappointed. I couldn't stop reading this one. I've been on a KA Tucker roll lately. Her stories never fail and this one sure won't.

He Will Be My Ruin by KA Tucker Genre: Thriller 5 STARS

Get it. Read it. And hang on for the ride. That's all I'll say on this one because really if I give any details it's ruined for you. *ARC provided for honest review.

AMAZING...like I can't see how this book won't be in my top 10 at the end of 2017 it is impossible to go into any kind of detail without spoiling it for you. There are twists and turns and jaw dropping moments throughout this story. I was thoroughly impressed with Amber. I can usually guess the twist or the surprise that pops up in a book but this one no way and when you think it's all over and things are settling down...nope. So although I didn't really share much know that you won't be disappointed Julius and Sarah are some complicated characters that will surprise the hell out of you. I'm still thinking about them. If I have any criticism it would be that I wish the epilogue was longer but that's a personal preference and no way will I deduct any stars for it because the rest of the book makes up for it! If you love a romantic suspense that has A LOT of suspense in it go get this book! *ARC provided for honest review.

I picked up another Pepper Winters book and in the back of it was the beginning of Pennies and that's all it took for me to be addicted to this story. I'll warn you now it is DARK and there are things in the book that aren't for all but if you like a good dark and twisted book this will be for you. I don't know why I am attacked to dark reads, maybe because the female character always has some quality in her that cling too or there's always some redeeming quality in the bastard that took her. She's so strong and no matter what her masters does to her she just won't break. You gotta admire that. Well in this book I absolutely HATED the man that eventually took possession of Tasmin! He's a sick motherfucker.

Pennies by Pepper Winters Genre: Dark Romance 5 STARS

I don't know how Pepper Winters continues to write books that are dark yet totally addicting and amazing. She grabs you and pulls you into this story and now, well I'm like a drug addict....I'm off to the next book! I need more!! If you like dark (not a little dark) but DARK books you'll want to read this.

However, there is a glimmer of light in Elder Prest. Elder has a dark past that I'm dying to learn about but he's commanding, domineering and sexy. He's a self-professed thief.

I just finished Until It Fades by KA Tucker this morning. It sucked me in and I finished it within 24 hours. It is a sweet story that is sort of a different type of book for KA Tucker, as she admits in her acknowledgements. Catherine has had a hard life. She had something happen to her in high school that made her the talk of her small town. She eventually builds a quiet little life for herself and her daughter that she's okay with. Her relationship with her parents is awkward but at least she now has one.

Until It Fades by KA Tucker Genre: Romance 4 STARS

There's a connection between Tasmin and Elder immediately. He's intrigued by her and she's notices something in him that gives her a bit of hope. Hope that he might be the one to save her from the hellhole that's her life but she trusts no one (with good reason).

makes sure that Catherine and her daughter are protected. This book is swoon worthy for sure and you'll love it. There's a few surprises in there but if you are looking for a really good story pick this one up. I believe it's out on July 4th. *ARC provided by NetGalley for my honest and unbiased opinion of Until It Fades*

That quiet life changes after she saves the life of a famous hockey player named Brett Madden. There's talk all around town and when it's finally revealed that she's the hero the press is all over her. When Brett finally shows up on her door the sparks fly. Their connection is immediate and I'm not talking insta-love just that spark, you know what I mean. Brett is just the perfect guy. He's considerate and caring and

Tapped by Liz Crowe Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance 5 STARS I have been reading this author for years and I know going in the emotional roller coaster ride I'm in for and welcome it because I know somewhere in all of that will be that magical moment when everything clicks and you find yourself at the end thinking "wow". I'm excited about this series and cannot wait to read more of it. The brewing setting was so unique in a great way, these days with so many books published its hard to come across something unique and different. Evelyn was much the way I thought she would be and I immediately warmed to her and I think this is because she reminds me a tad of another amazing Liz character that I miss dearly. If you have come to this book looking for an over the top whimsical love affair coated in sugar spice and everything nice, turn around this is not the book for you. But if you are looking for a love story forged out of real emotions, real feelings and real mistakes than grab this one now. *ARC provided for honest review.

23

Hopeless Vows by Rachel Duncan Genre: Dark Suspense & Mafia 5 STARS Hopeless Vows was an entertaining read and I found Jillian and Austin to be captivating well written characters. The actual "secret" Jillian was keeping was somewhat predictable but the details of it however were not an that was a pleasant surprise to me to be taken off guard like that when I thought I knew for sure the surrounding details. The only thing I found myself really wanting was to know who Janey was talking to on the phone and I wanted it to be the other Bit** in the story. I would definitely recommend this book. *ARC provided for honest review.

Devil's Vengeance by Nina Levine Genre: MC Romance 5 STARS *Another amazing installment to this series. I found Hailee and Devil to be a little different than the previous installments of this series. Devil, to me, was a little less...gruff than the usual Sydney Storm/Storm men. But that did not make him any less amazing. It made him more endearing. Don't get me wrong Devil is one bad mother, but he has a big heart (like all of them do) he just seems to be more at ease with his softer emotions. He's more open about his feelings and has no problem voicing them. In Devil's Vengeance we also get to know King more and more and I cannot wait for his book. I found Hailee's love and commitment to her family to be one of the best things about her, but at the same time she doesn't let them bowl her over, she's her own woman and makes her own decisions and choices. And her grandma, ohhhh what a fabulous supporting character, everyone should have a grandma like her. You can never go wrong with a Nina Levine book - read them all, you won't regret it. *ARC provided for honest review.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I have a feeling you'll enjoy their story as well. You're in for a good time.

Lauren Blakely books are always quick reads for me. She writes so fluidly that the story just flows and before I know it I'm done. Tyler and Delaney's story is no exception. They were college sweethearts. Their life plan mapped out. Then something changed. Only Delaney didn't know what changed. So fast forward eight years and they meet again. Now we all know men are known for being stubborn and hard headed, right? It's not just them but mostly. HA! So Tyler runs into Delaney and all those feelings from long ago seem to hit him like a brick but he's not that guy anymore. He just wants to get to know her - the Delaney now.

The Hot One by Lauren Blakely Genre: Contemporary Romance 5 STARS

When they find how similar and different each are in present day they agree to one week of "getting to know you." I think this one week would be hard to reconcile what they'd knew about each other and add in what's new now. They make the best of it though. I enjoyed their push and pull.

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. You know after the Avoiding series I didn't know if I would read this author again. *GASP* I know right?! I was so mad at the outcome of that story line I didn't know if the author would do that again with her characters. I caved and tried The Wright Brother. Y'all. This story. Emory & Jensen are like magnets for each other. Everyone wants a Wright brother but only very few will be lucky enough to keep one. Since Jensen doesn't recognize Emory he doesn't realize she's his little brother's ex-girlfriend. Though it doesn't take long for it to hit him who she is.

The Wright Brother by KA Linde Genre: Contemporary Romance 5 STARS

True to a K.A. Linde story there is some drama that happens between these characters. Assumptions made - and you know what that makes you. So like any two people with conflict they have to work through it. It's definitely worth their time to listen to each other and get out of their own heads. I think the author did a great job at working through these issues with the characters.

Jensen is determined but so is Emory. I enjoyed reading how their story played out.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by Tawna Fenske. I like how she was able to make a serious character become fun and really be the person she's supposed to be. Being a female in a male dominated profession doesn't leave much time for adventure and relationship seeking. So she's made some some stories. They're not hurting anything right?

The List by Tawna Fenske Genre: Contemporary Romance 4 STARS

Until they come back to bite her in the butt. HA! So Cassie has a list. Some people have a list of places they want to visit, places they want to see. Cassie has a list of sexual positions she's supposedly performed at random times/places with a random guy. As you can see from the blurb she spills wine on her laptop which has the list saved on it and when she takes it to the computer store down the street she's unaware of the sexy man who helps her happens to be the millionaire owner, Simon.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Kennedy Lane is a piece of work! He's definitely got the whole rock star stereotype down pat. Alcohol - check. Drugs - check. Women - check. People - check. Though not all of those people are helpful in this type situation that's for sure. I am a fan of rock star romances and thought I'd give these two (new to me) authors a try! They did not disappoint.

Simon is leary of women these days. Which happens, I suppose, when you're single, wealthy, and the press loves to flaunt your photo often when they can catch you. Simon isn't used to people not really knowing who he is and finding Cassie is unaware he volunteers to help with her list. Couldn't hurt right? Gosh these two! I swear they couldn't be more fitting for one another. They have their flaws. They like to explore. Definitely take to pushing one another's boundaries when it comes to sex. Neither want a relationship...but can you really have a sexual relationship and not be in a relationship? Especially when you invite your partner to family events and other places. Lines are definitely blurred with these two. The point is to make sure they stay in focus, though. Which proves to be a feat far greater than either expected. I definitely think you'll enjoy this story. It read pretty quickly for me and the characters are very likable.

thought these two characters worked well together with their give and take. There was just a bit of angst in the book but not so much that it overtook the story. Lots going on "behind the scenes" if you will. If you're a fan of rock star romances - add this to your list. It's a good one to read for sure!

I like that Abigail doesn't back down from Kennedy. Though she's highly attracted she doesn't allow that attraction to distract from the fact he's an addict. He has a problem and she won't allow Kennedy to upset this little boy's dream from the Foundation she runs for terminally ill children.

Rock the Dream by BB Miller & Leslie Carson Genre: Contemporary Romance 4 STARS

Kennedy is determined to fulfill his responsibilities for this kids dream. Even if he has to work through Abigail Walker's demands. There's something about that woman he just can't shake. His will demands it almost.

This was a light and funny rock romance that was sweet with a little sin mixed in. Kellan is on a break from his band that is just beginning to take off. He needed some alone time at his cabin back home in the small town he grew up in over New Year’s Eve. Having the smart mouth, sexy Maggie Kelly put her car in the snow ditch wasn’t in his plans but when its Maggie who lets it known that she is just off from a breakup with longtime boyfriend who cheated on her and would like very much to get the good looking grouchy guy in bed, who is he to say no to that. Maggie has no idea that Kellan is a rock star on the rise and he isn’t one to tell her. Kellan has known the Kelly family for years since they live in a small town; it’s just that he’s older than Maggie and knew of her when he was after her sister, Maeve.

Rockstar Daddy by Taryn Quinn Genre: Rockstar Romance 5 STARS

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

New Year’s Eve was just the beginning for these two whether they knew it at that time or not. There are secrets and some very hot chemistry between Kellan and Maggie. Will they be able to make things work especially since they are on opposite coasts and Kellan

This time it’s Kite’s story from the band Tear Asunder and it left me emotionally exhausted. Killian was the school’s bad boy but was always there trying to help the underdog. He also had his eyes on a pretty red headed dancer who kept to herself quite a bit. They would share looks but neither approached the other; Savvy because she was afraid of this tough guy and Killian because he figured he was bad news for her. They shared one kiss before Savvy was off to various foster homes which was one kiss she never forgot. As they lost touch and the years went on Savvy became a dance instructor and Kite made it big time as the drummer for the band Tear Asunder.

Kept From You by Nashoda Rose Genre: Erotic Romance 5 STARS

has a diversion to thinking he is worth anything good? This is a quick rock romance with a little something for everyone.

Savvy was getting desperate; she needed a job and bad. She had just left her cheating boyfriend who happened to be her boss as well. So there went her job and her home which gave her no choice but to try to get back stage at a Tear Asunder concert to see if Kite would even remember her and if he did would he put a good word in for her to land a good paying job as a dancer at one of his friend’s dance clubs. Just like old times

their eyes found each other after 11 years and that spark was still there. Imagine Savvy’s surprise when Kite told Savvy that there wasn’t any way he would help her land this job. He didn’t tell her but no way had he wanted her dancing in some cage at a club with men learning at her. Their journey was one of finding a way back to each other and this time acting on the feelings they each had. This couple had a lot of obstacles in their way and you were kept wondering just what would it take for them to have their HEA. The heartache they both had from the families which they came from tainted them and the possibility of true love finding a way to the forefront. I have become a huge fan of Nashoda Rose and this series and I haven’t been let down yet. She takes you to some dark places but there is always that hope that keeps you locked in the world she created with the guys from Tear Asunder. I received this book as an ARC for a freely give honest review.

Hitting That Sweet Spot is exactly what Lara Ward Cosio did in writing Shay’s story. This is another exceptional book by this author who knows how to take you places and makes you actually feel what her characters feel. The relationship between Shay and his brother Danny Boy is one of love and responsibility to the point of heartache. Addiction leaves those who love them torn between the love of the person who used to be and the person they become with drug use.

Hitting That Sweet Spot by Lara Ward Cosio Genre: Contemporary Romance 5 STARS

Dirty Duet by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott Genre: Rocker Romance

Shay, the quiet drummer for the rock band Rogue is finally getting his chance at real love with a woman who not only has Shay enter her “normal” life but she gets the rock star lifestyle that comes with that. That lifestyle is like none she has ever known with groupies and the paparazzi. Jessica finds out that with Shay she gets his struggling brother and the Rogue family which has had its fair share of complications.

anything away from Shay. It felt like an added bonus. I cannot speak highly enough of the ability this author has to bring me another character with so many dimensions but still give me everything I was craving from her previous characters. I can’t recommend this book highly enough and as far as that goes any of her books within this series. I still need to hear more from the guys from Rogue and the people they love. I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

Lara Ward Cosio does an extraordinary job at giving us Shay’s story but she also gave us Gavin and Connor yet again not taking

When you have two fantastic authors who have given you the best in rock romance you have high hopes when their next book comes out and Dirty Duet did not disappoint. Lauren was not the typical groupie. She had a mouth that was totally unfiltered which gave me some of the best laugh out loud moments. I also loved that she was a "normal" girl with a body that had all kinds of curves. It was those curves that she had on display at a Warning Signs concert after keyboardist, West, encouraged for tops to come off as he body surfed at one of their concerts. It was Lauren's curves that got West's attention while he was in the audience and he didn't want to miss the chance to see who this woman and was impressed by the way she looked like having fun. What else could he do but bring her onstage with him. There was just one little problem...Lauren was one step away from having a restraining order keeping her from getting 50 feet from the band!

West was a tortured musician who had dealt with some pretty heavy stuff his whole life and some of the secrets weighed heavily on him. It was Lauren with her virginity and uncensored mouth that was beginning to make a change on West. These two couldn't be any more right for each other but would they realize that and admit it before it was too late? On a side note you may have seen that there have been comments about the errors in this book; DO NOT let this keep you from reading a fantastic rock romance by these two outstanding authors! Either way this is still a 5 star read. I received this book as an ARC for a freely given honest review.

Riot by Tillie Cole Genre: Erotic Romance 5 STARS I have been following this series and have waited for 152’s story to be told and I wasn’t let down. You just have to make sure you are ok with some darkness but this book is all that but a whole lot more. Everyone has a weakness even though in this book it took a lot of underhandedness of the Russian mafia to pull that from a warrior like 901. The Master was pure evil and he took what he wanted when he wanted it as in the case of 152. This may be dark but the love story was one that grabs your heart and doesn’t let go. I am a true fan of this series and each and every book was a definite 5 star read. I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given honest review.

Cheater by Rachel Van Dyken Genre: Contemporary Romance 4 STARS

If you like to laugh this is definitely a read for you. Lucas is a player so with that in mind he is bound to cross paths with women who know of each other at some point you’d think and that is exactly what happened with Avery. This is a light read with predictability but that isn’t always a bad thing because if a book is fun to read who could ask for anything more. The interaction between Lucas and Avery is lovable and one that gives you a feel good feeling. There isn’t too much that Rachel Van Dyken writes that a person cannot fall in love with. I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Diesel by Tia Lewis Genre: MC Romance 4 STARS What do you do when the one guy you love only sees you as a friend and confidante? Violet had to stand by and watch as Diesel had other relationships but couldn’t do anything about it but be there for him when he needed her. Diesel just got his brother back after eight years in prison for a crime that Diesel committed. Things had changed dramatically within the MC since Gunner was sent away and he was having a hard time dealing with the changes. Gunner had made some promises while in prison with a rival MC and now the Blood Riders were going to have to pay for Gunner’s mistakes. The one who would pay the biggest price was Violet. Would Diesel realize before it was too late what Violet actually meant to him? This was my first time reading this author and I am hooked. Ms. Lewis sure threw me for a loop when reading this story…about the time you thought everything was ok…it wasn’t! A good MC read that will have me coming back for more. This book was provided as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

This book is a GEM! This story is so lovely and beautiful, I want everyone to stop what they are doing and read it! My heart is completely full, Sophie and Charlie have burrowed themselves into the very marrow of my being. As soon as the tears cleared enough I was on my computer ordering myself a paperback copy of Back To Yesterday because I needed to own it, like it owned me. "I wanted to explain, to tell her that, since meeting her, my heart was in jeopardy of ruin, and she could be the one to ruin me. I wanted to tell her that when she plowed into me that day in the diner that she had leveled me in more ways than one. I wanted to tell her all of that, yet I couldn't tell her any of it. I needed more time to ease her into it."

Back To Yesterday by Pamela Sparkman Genre: Historical Romance 5 STARS

Back to Yesterday is one of the most captivating love stories I have had the pleasure reading. Like Sophie did to Charlie, this book did to me- it plowed into and completely leveled me. Their love story is one for the ages. I didn't want to let this book go, I didn't want to say good-bye to Sopie and Charlie. Goodness, I'm tearing up again just

This is going to be the most vague review I will ever write for a book I love so much. You will find no spoilers here!!! To start, take everything you think you know about Lance "Romance" Romero and throw it all right out the window. Go ahead, I'll wait... I knew there had to be more to Lance than just the crazy parties, the hook-ups with bunnies, and the unfortunate situation with Tash.

Pucked Off by Helena Hunting Genre: Contemporary Romance 5 STARS

But never in my wildest dreams did I expect what was to come in Pucked Off. I never expected the tears, the heartache, the anguish. I never expected to hate a character as much as I hated her. And I never, ever expected to fall so hard and so deeply for Lance Romero. Lance completely, utterly, and absolutely owned me, even as he destroyed me. He has more depth to him than you can even begin to imagine. Helena has seriously outdone herself with this book. It's everything you've come to love about the Pucked series, but so, so much more.

thinking about them! This book took me on such a journey- I felt like I was living everything Charlie and Sophie went through. I don't know how some books can be so simple and pure, yet so incredibly profound in their simplicity. Pamela Sparkman honestly weaved magic when she wrote this story. Back to Yesterday is breathtaking and utterly stunning, it's truly remarkable. "I'm ever letting go of you," he said, stroking my hair. "Understand? I'm never letting you go. So don't let go of me. Okay? You and I, we're in this together." Oh don't you worry Charlie, I'm never letting you and Sophie go. *ARC provided for honest review.

"Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention." ~ Sir Francis Bacon I feel like Sir Francis Bacon wrote this quote specifically for Pucked Off, without even knowing it. There are some books that deserves to be savored, and this for sure is one of them. I have so many quotes highlighted that I'd love to share but I honestly don't want to spoil anyone's reading experience. Pucked Off, Lance, and the wonderful heroine, will stay in my heart for a long, long time. "You're all the good things I didn't know I was missing." *ARC provided for honest review.

Angelic Outcast by Jessie Wrights Genre: Rockstar Romance 4 STARS

This is my first ready by Ms. Wrights. It is a series but this book stands well on it's own and it leaves you wanting more but doesn't leave you hanging from a cliff. I will say that it took me a bit of time to get into the book but once I was in, I was all in! Ms. Wrights - has done her research, I checked! She brings us angels, fallen angels, demons, dragons, trolls and so much more!

The adventure takes off and you are trying to figure out who is to be trusted and it will keep you turning pages. I found her storylines active and involved. Her research on Angels and Demons is superb! If you are in the mood for supernatural actions with some spicey bits! This one is definitely worth the time. The wanting more part is Arcan story he is just yum!

Artan is an angel sent to protect Liz - Liz and Kris are in South America finding children that society doesn't pay attention to because they each have some special gift. (one or more of them are meant to survive), and only they can save them. Kris has some gifts but he hides them because he doesn't know how to control them. The adventure begins with Kris finding Artan in the jungle and shooting him to make sure he isn't going to hurt Liz. Artan knows something is different about Kris but can't put his angel sensors on it. Liz, however knows that Artan is an angel immediately and they decide to trust him to help protect them and the children.

Some of you may already know about Lauren Runow - she has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Gravity continues to show how Ms. Runow's visions are put into a fabulous story!

other's stability. Her characters are strong and believable, her plot lines tight and keep you involved. So, if you are in the market for a stellar contemporary romance, click that button! I can't wait to see what wonderful things come next from Lauren. Kudo's lady you made me laugh, you made me cry, you made me scream....

This is a stand alone novel. We meet Trevin and Lily. Lily has a wonderful childhood. Trevin not so much, his Dad is drunk who beats his wife and son. When Trev's Dad accidently kills his Mom and takes away his dreams of playing baseball and going away to college, he spirals down. But, through it all Lily is there, his friend, his advisory, his gravity. He is also a talented guitarist - (again thanks to Lily). While he is off chasing his dreams as a musician, Lily is floating trying to find herself. This book is full of the feels!
