Step back into the Cape May of more than 100 years ago and see how the wealthy lived and played at the town’s only Victorian house museum. Also visit the Estate’s Carriage House to see “Quackery: The Age of Questionable Medical Marvels,” the exhibit in the Carroll Gallery through Oct. 29. (see page 12). The first floor of the Physick House is fully accessible.

Each year, our tour of the Physick House Museum highlights a particular aspect of Victorian life and culture in Cape May. Despite never practicing medicine, Dr. Emlen Physick meaningfully affected the local medical community. This year on our tour, learn about the doctor and his influence around town, as well as common health practices around the turn of the 20th century.
