Ticketing

The MyWay smartcard ticketing system provides a convenient and easy way to travel – passengers enjoy discounted fares provided they tag on and off with their smartcard at the start and end of their journey. MyWay cards may be purchased from more than 30 MyWay Recharge Agents located across Canberra, who are authorised to issue standard, tertiary, concession and student MyWay cards. Travel credit may be topped up in person, online, over the phone or via an autoload option or BPAY. Register your MyWay card to ensure your travel credit is protected if your card is lost, stolen or damaged.

LIGHT RAIL

Transport Canberra is rolling out a light rail network to deliver a modern transport system for this growing city. The first stage, the 12km Cityto-Gungahlin corridor, is now complete and operational. Check transport.act.gov.au for details.
