Evora dialogues 2012 PROGRAM DAY 1 Morning session (9-12)

Evora lifelong learning challenges, needs and interests Dialogues on present and future Evora and Alentejo challenges in the field of education and training – with a special focus on young people, low educated adults and elderly, health and social care: where will Evora be in 2020? Participants are invited to contribute to this debate Let us try to identify the key challenges Are there any initiatives in Evora addressing these challenges? How would you like to address these challenges? Afternoon session (14-17)

What can European cooperation offer? Presentation of the Lifelong Learning Program opportunities, based on the Evora challenges How is the EU Xploit project working with “learning communities”? How can lifelong learning and learning community initiatives benefit the Evora community? Dialogues on different forms of collaboration: networking, projects, mobility We will describe different European opportunities and link them to the identified Evora needs and interests We will discuss European cooperation in general and how the Evora community could participate

DAY 2 Morning session (9-12)

Following up the first days’ challenges and opportunities Reflections on the first day dialogues and on opportunities identified Planning of further steps in the Evora dialogues series We would like to tell about what we heard on the first day and how this might be linked to European cooperation Perhaps it will be possible to establish a small Evora team in support of European cooperation in the community and in the region – open discussion We would also like to discuss how to include people from the city directly in European activities, such as students, teachers, young people, elderly... Afternoon sessions (14-?)

Direct dialogues with institutions and people in Evora Discussing and agreeing on different ways of collaboration between institutions in Evora and the European networks We would like to dialogue with people or institutions directly interested in European cooperation, and in mobility activities for students and teachers As to European cooperation all sectors could be interested, whereas the mobility debates should focus more on the social and care sector, including pedagogical care and childcare We would also welcome visits to institutions interested in mobility in the social and care sector All interested people and institutions are invited to take part in the full program. If some people or institutions prefer to join only part of the program, please arrange this with our local coordinator and host, Isabel Mira.
