LIVESTREAMING This is the first time I get in touch with livestreaming. Learning how to connect cameras as well as to use broadcasting software, I at the same time designed the visual identity and corresponding motion infographics. The livestream turned out to be pretty clean and consistent, and it definitely marks an important milestone in my career.

As an uprising sports apparels brand, the client looks for niches among the competitive sports apparels market. Collaborations with gyms and athletes are made, and are visually presented in a dope and trendy manner. A sharp brand image is being maintained.

Avoiding hard-selling their products, I visualise selling points of their air-conditioners with a large amount of colourful visual elements. They are then metaphorically presented in a more down-to-earth, easy-to-approach manner.

Brand Positioning Freelance 2020

The Client is promoting their new retail banking product - Private Banking. They aim to position the brand as the only choice for the well-off to live a prestige and shiny life by providing all-rounded luxurious lifestyle and wealth management service.

BRAND ASSET I help coordinate with photo retoucher for the KV selection. I give advice on the color grading, composition, mood building and typography. I am also involved in soft and hard proofing - it has been a brand new experience for me to try something not digital, and I have known more about the output procedure and how to coordinate with different parties on such a building-block segment of the whole branding project.

WEBSITE Handling their website is not an easy task because all photos have to be selected matching the mood of being prestige and decent. I also spend a lot of time on revising the layout in order to coordinate with the programer - a rewarding experience to work with programmers since I can know more about their field and how a team of website design works.

The shop aims at providing a homecoming-like dining experience to its customers. While conducting visual audit on its existing brand identity, I think they are lacking a sense of localness, which means that people won’t relate the shop to a local restaurant that can provide a sense of homeliness.

In the key visual, I give up on using paintings, instead I design geometry patterns imitating buildings and street scenes. I hope to imply my understanding to the curator’s intention - to me, a city should be composed of buildings, cityscapes, as well as connections between people.

I used a colourful and joyful manner in designing posters of previous version. In the redevelopment process, I try to differentiate the tone presented in the event in order to give our members a fresh image.

By using the form of exclamation mark and bold

A more modern and sharper event identity is portraited by using grey scale coloring and hard edge geometry. The result is unexpectedly surprising because the event seems to be more lively.
