OUR LONDON FACTORY Our team of skilled craftsmen make each sofa by hand, to order, at our factory in London. Raft’s specialist sofa making skills mean that we can offer a wide range of designs, sizes and finishes. Sofas can also be assembled in the customer’s home when access is difficult. As part of Raft’s ongoing commitment to being environmentally friendly, we only use solid hardwood which has been sourced and managed in Europe for our sofa frames. This means that our wood has not contributed towards deforestation in any way.

UPHOLSTERY We have an extensive range of upholstered designs within our collection, from traditional Chesterfields to contemporary, plush, corner sofas. Each model can be completely custom made in our wide selection of fabrics and sizes, but if you need a special size then bespoke lengths are also possible. Kiln dried, hardwood frames ensure that a Raft sofa will stand up to the rigours of everyday life.

OSCAR
If you’re looking for flexibility, casual lounging and contemporary styling, look no further. The Melrose is available either as a sofa only, or with a chaise cushion that reverses to the left or right according to the configuration of your room.
With curved arms and an exaggerated rake, inspired by the Art Deco period of the 1920s, the Oscar exudes comfort and lush relaxation while retaining a classic element of style.

The Loft’s contemporary, clean-lined edges mean that it can fit in with any style of interior. It is modular, so you can adjust the number of pieces to suit the shape and size of room.

LEATHER Raft’s commitment to creating the highest quality furniture with the least environmental damage extends to our choice of leather, which is sourced only from Northern Europe, a region renowned the world over for the best hides. We keep the leather close to its natural state, either aniline or semianiline and it’s treated exclusively with soluble dyes. This means the leather retains its natural beauty and no two hides are the same.

The high standard of manufacture and design means a chair can be produced to the customers’ specification and all styles can be created in fabric or leather, depending on the desired look.

hen it comes to reclaimed teak, Raft are the experts. We are proud to be the world’s leading manufacturer and the largest retailer of Forest Stewardship Council-certified recycled 100% teak. Reclaimed teak is wood which originally had a different purpose, perhaps as part of a building, bridge or as a railway sleeper. This is then recycled and made into a beautiful piece of furniture. Our philosophy to strive for excellence means that we are innovators in this field, constantly
developing our manufacturing processes to create furniture which is solid and dependable. Our designers work in London to develop exclusive product ranges which are then created in Raft’s own factory in central Indonesia, which employs more than 300 highly skilled local artisans who are true experts in working with reclaimed teak timbers. Raft has pioneered the innovative use of solar powered kilns to remove moisture from the teak in an environmentally friendly way. Raft holds a Forest Stewardship Council chain of custody
RAFT holds a Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody certification which means timber can be traced from its origin to the consumer.

Focusing on our goal to be as green as possible, we try to source environmentally friendly products for all areas of the home. We believe that
sourcing products that have minimal impact on the environment during manufacturing is a small but necessary step in the right direction. This can be seen in many different areas; from the fabrics on our handmade cushions which are sourced only from European weaving mills, to our range of jute baskets, produced in Bangladesh by women who work from home whilst caring for their children.
ESRUM STONEWARE This product was designed in Copenhagen and originates back to 1955. The creation process for each piece is gentle which means that the original feel and character of the material remains intact. The Esrum range is made from stoneware and the natural imperfections that occur during crafting are what showcase this product’s originality.

GARDEN Raft’s reclaimed teak furniture is made from timbers which have been around for up to ninety years, as beams from houses, ship decking or perhaps railway sleepers. Like cedar, teak is famous for its weather resistant properties. As such, it’s a shame just to keep it inside! We offer garden tables, benches and chairs in a medley of shapes and sizes to suit smaller spaces or grand entertaining areas. Unlike the British weather, this furniture can be relied upon for years to come.
