INTRODUCTION
his fashion styling portfolio portrait truly my style, personality, vision and the importance of Fashion Business toward my life and future. Studying business, a double major in Marketing & Finance, as my background, but fashion is always something that was born inside and has been running through my soul and mind as I call it my authentic-self. Indeed, Fashion forms the way I am today: energetic, confident, dedicated, honest, open-minded and artistic. I enjoy updating fashion trends/news, reading fashion designers’ biographies, watching runway shows, fashion photoshoots and behind the scene videos. High fashion and streetwear are two fashion perspectives that I am focusing on and I like to combine those perspectives/ideas together which shapes my current style and sense of fashion. Furthermore, fashion also displays different aspects of the culture, gender, and humanity that teach me more about the world. However, I want to express fashion and deliver its messages through the business platform, such as Marketing due to its strong influence and efficiency to the modern world. Together with the fast development of technology, fashion becomes an easy way to express yourself to society that makes the industry more potential and never stops evolving, because it demonstrates your personality, values, tastes, and interests. That is why fashion plays an essential role in the today’s society. Integrating marketing concept with fashion is the main goal that I want to achieve as my professional career because marketing assists fashion to reach millions of people effectively across the globe through various strategies and channels (e.g. internet, social media, television). Overall, this portfolio will firstly present my Personal Style, the following is Styling Projects that I have done as a freelancer. Fashion Trend Updates is the final section that displays signature looks of FW17 and SS18 collections from my top favourite fashion designers/brands that I have been following, and also my opinions about fashion trends in both current and future seasons.
PERSONAL STYLE
High fashion and streetwear define my own style as trendy, unique and comfortable at the same time. The term “high fashion� emphasizes high-quality, high-end, exclusiveness, and of course stylish. On the other hand, streetwear embraces freedom, fearless, sporty and cozy. Both of those styles illustrate characteristics in which I find myself and feel confident with. Recently, sportswear has dominated the contemporary streetwear culture with its casual and active style. Mixing high fashion and streetwear always excite me with different inspirations and vibes. I love to bring high and low, formal and active style together that I can wear daily but never look the same.

I take fashion styling as a way of having fun and being creative with fashion. In my opinion, knowledgeable about fashion is not enough, you also need to be practical with it. As a result, I challenged myself to work as a freelance stylist and it was such a pleasure to contribute my energy to some fashion projects in Vietnam.

As I said early in the introduction, keeping up to date with fashion is my daily habit; I find peace, inspiration, and motivation as well in the fashion that gives me a real life purpose. Free my mind into runway shows and feel the meaning that designers want to emphasise on each collection.

As streetwear has been influencing the global fashion industry in recent years, this Fall/Winter 2017 concentrates mostly on puffer jackets, track pants, oversize straight pants, structured shoulder blazers/coats, chunky sneakers and not forget to mention, over-the-knee boots are still popular which are even taken to whole new level by YSL. In addition, several designers use neutral colours as major tones, such as Navy, Grey, and Black, widely in this season.

Next Spring/Summer 2018, luxury brands (e.g. Gucci, Prada, Calvin Klein and Dior Homme) illustrate clearly their vision toward streetwear in term of futuristic merging with pop art. Again, neutral colours will be used mainly; but vibrant colours, such as Red and Orange, will be presented all over the place as colours trend 2018. Chunky sneakers, matrix sunglasses, and handbag with big strap are essential items that every fashionista needs to have in their closet.
