Kia names its price for brand-new Niro range

PRICING and specifications for Kia’s new Niro crossover in the UK have been confirmed, with the hybrid version starting from £27,745 in entry-level 2 trim.
Powered by a 141bhp petrol-electric set-up, the 2 hybrid features 16-inch alloys, dual LED headlights, rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, cloth seats, and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Stepping up to 3 trim adds £2,750 to the price, but brings larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch central screen with built-in satnav, front parking sensors, heated seats and a heated steering wheel, plus wireless phone charging. For another £2,750, topspec 4 models (from £33,245) feature a head-up display and a 10.25-inch digital dash, artificial leather seats (heated and cooled in the front, heated in the rear), a powered tailgate, a Harmon Kardon stereo and more advanced driver-assistance tech.
Equipment levels for the plug-in hybrid model mirror those of the hybrid, but prices for the PHEV start from £32,775, with the same £2,750 step up in price between the different grades.
The new all-electric Niro EV will start at £34,999 for the entry-level 2 model. This features basically the same kit as on the equivalent hybrid and PHEV, but a 10.25-inch digital dash, an 11kW on-board charger and battery heating are also included as standard.
Step up to 3 trim and buyers gain the option of a heat pump, while vehicle-toload functionality – which allows owners to charge other electrical kit from the car – is also included, with a three-pin socket mounted in the rear.
As with the rest of the range, the topspec Niro EV in 3 trim assistance tech a different colours f C-pillar blade, inc Grey and Black P can also be had in body colour, as on other models.
