Working on vintage Ford door hinges can be tricky. The hinge pins can be extremely difficult to remove and attempting this on a vehicle with nice paint creates a precarious situation. This hinge pin removal tool from Bob Drake is designed to make the task easier, enabling you to remove the pins without damaging the hinges or the surrounding area. Simply position the tool over the hinge, fit the correct length extension into the bolt head, and turn the bolt to push the pin up and out. For best results, it’s recommended to apply penetrating oil to the hinge about a day before removal. The hinge pin puller comes with 1-, 1.5-, 2- and 2.5-inch hardened steel extensions.
