On the next page is the final image of this book, but this photo was taken just when the sun was starting to set. This photo was specially done, and has several different elements. This final photo has some of the waterfowl on the lake as the sun was setting, but the sun has a beautiful ring around it and this is what made this last photo very special for this final section of this book. Don’t forget to read my biography at the end of this book. I tell about how I got into photography and why I started and why Istill enjoy what I do the most. Since, this was the first book. I have plans for another book, about this same park in the future, no plans have been set; but still taking photos and writing more information down about the park itself.

ABOUT THE PROJECT The idea of the project started in the Spring of 2013, when I started taking more photos of Cooper Creek Park, which is located in beautiful Columbus, Georgia. I started my on-line photo business about late Summer of 2013, after I founded this project. The idea is to bring back the park the way it was when I was a kid, full of wildlife and beautiful flowers, and beautiful landscapes. The park surroundings destroyed by having music bands during the early Fall season, which wild animals do not like, with this project I hope to bring more back, and at the same time keep this music bands out and stopped completely. The Park is managed by Columbus Parks and Recreations Department of Columbus, Georgia. Of what the city of Columbus can’t do, I hope this will support the park and bring it back to life. With your support of the sale of this book, this will be possible to preserve this park and it’s wildlife, and hopefully bring more wildlife to the park as well. ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER
31
My name is Thomas Vasas, author and photographer of this and my first book. I have been avid photographer for several years, and enjoyed doing it as well. I enjoy doing all kinds of photography: portraits, family portraits, events, pet, nature, astrophotography. My most favorite photography is nature photography and astrophotography, the reason I like these form of photography is that it is very challenging. I also enjoy reading science fiction novels. My favorite TV shows are Star Trek series, and Stargate series which are now all have been canceled. But I still enjoy watching them. I also enjoy reading about weather, geology, and astronomy, which all three are favorites. With the enjoyment of photography, leads me to take photos of places that are related to the science fields that I enjoy. Photo’s might tell a thousand words, but without photography there will not be any science to study. Photography to me is part of science, we can learn from photos of what things and places look like. Photography can be used in many ways and forms all thru out the field of science. I hope that you will enjoy this book. To learn more about my work, you can contact me thru my websites or you can email me at vasas_photo@live.com.
