It's a path that began in the Caribbean, traveled north by Spanish Conquistadors, moved overseas to the Americas, and then seasoned with flavors that we now experience across the states. Based on region, ribs can be dry rubbed, smoked, doused in sauce and more.

Living a luxe life is not just about the luxuries you have in life, but it is having the luxury to pay time and resources forward to those in the world around you. Our theme, “Sharing is Caring” is all about instilling the art of community service through volunteerism, activism, and philanthropy . This month we will focus on activism around food insecurity with our month long The Good Fight: Food Insecurity Challenge which includes a campus wide food drive. In addition, we will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with Fiesta! A Celebration of Hispanic Culture In America.

Sharing Is Caring October

FIESTA! is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of Hispanic influences around amazing food from Hispanic & Latin countries.

Hispanic influences are tightly knitted in the fabric of American life. Think music, food, art, cinema, politics, literature, and so much more. Founded in 1988, National Hispanic Heritage Month is the period from September 15 to October 15 in the United States, when people recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latin Americans to the country's history, heritage, and culture. Around one fifth of the U.S. population is Hispanic and/or Latin. The state with the largest Hispanic and Latin population overall is California with over 14 million.

Gratitude is in the air as we stop to be thankful for all of the small things that make our lives special. From the art of gratitude to appreciating the special people in our lives, this month is all about shining a light on what we love! Each week we will have a gratitude spotlight where guests will be able to appreciate different categories of people across campus. We will “shine a light on ‘em” to remind them how much they mean to others.

In addition, we will celebrate Thanksgiving with our annual Friendsgiving celebration and honor National Native American Heritage Month with a special episode of THTV.
