You’re invited to events and celebrations throughout Boundary Country all year long. Whether you’re into sports, history, arts, or food, you’ll find it here in every season. The Boundary is known far and wide for its community events. While events look different in 2021-2022 there are still outdoor events taking place and events calendars are kept up to date by Visitor Centres and online websites.

Key Events in Boundary Country

Artisan, Craft Beer and Food Festivals

Throughout the year you can find Festivals and Markets showcasing Boundary Country’s homegrown food. Enjoy talented artisans, beer and spirit-makers’ crafts, and taste your way around the communities. There are plenty of eateries that encourage you to indulge in farmto-table local delicacies like Haskap berries and fresh dairy and produce.

Home Run!

Grand Forks International Baseball Tournament is an annual tradition, with visitors from far and wide attending the richest invitational baseball tournament in North America. Come for the games. You might even see a future All-Star player in the making. Check online for information on the 2022 tournament.

Country Fairs | September

Experience the very best of rural British Columbia at the Grand Forks Fall Fair and the Rock Creek Fall Fair. These old-fashioned country fairs get you up close and personal with local agricultural displays, vendors, live entertainment, animals, and a demolition derby.

Live music can be found at several events throughout the year in the Boundary Country, from rock to bluegrass to dancing on the beach at Summerfest in Christina Lake. Be sure to check event calendars for specific dates to see what’s happening.

SPRING

Boundary Country comes alive! Spring flowers abound, and events like farmers’ and craft markets open up again. Ski Hills celebrate the ending of the winter season with games, races and festivals. For family fun, Easter egg hunts can be found in Grand Forks and Christina Lake.

SUMMER

Family-friendly events and activities fill summertime in the Boundary Country. While this year may look a little different, there are still events you can participate in! There are music festivals, craft beer festivals, sports tournaments of all kinds, food festivals, and celebrations of the arts, which are all must-sees during the warmest season of the year. Be sure to check out what’s happening with a Visitor Information Centre or online at boundarybc.com/events for the dates you are visiting.

FALL

Fall is a beautiful time to visit Boundary Country and hit the trails. Along the trails, there are also some fun events that usually take place. Starting in September with a BBQ festival, then into the famous Fall Fairs to authentically experience country-living at its finest.

WINTER

Once the snow falls, the enticing ski areas of the Boundary Country all kick into high gear. Each has its own celebrations throughout the year to check out. Festival of Trees, Spirit-tasting, Winterfest, and family day celebrations help everyone enjoy the winter months.
