100 YEARS OF VALUE CREATION AND EASY COLLABORATION
It all started with a trip to Cincinnati in the US where, as a young mechanic, Søren Einer Jensen learned about the production of gears and transmissions. When he returned home to Denmark, he came to work for his father Niels Jensen. In 1920, he earned his trade license and the company name became Niels Jensen og Søn (”Niels Jensen and Son”). Since then, the factory has remained family-owned and today is owned by the fourth generation, Søren Fischer Jensen. Over the years, we have had to move twice because production increased and we needed more space.
The know-how has been built through 100 years of experience and a continuous focus on technological development and innovation. It is of great benefit to our customers that we are specialists in the mix of quality craftsmanship and technology, and continuously optimise products and processes in collaboration with the customer.

TRACEABILITY, QUALITY AND DELIVERY RELIABILITY
From the food industry to the marine sector, our gears and components fully meet the high quality requirements. They fulfil the conditions for full traceability in connection with EN10204: 3.1 +3.2 certificates and classification from LLOYD and DNV. We are ISO 9001 - ISO 14001 - ISO 45001 certified. We operate with a complaint rate of less than 0.2% of our turnover and we perform quality assurance on our high-tech CMM measuring machines from Klingelnberg and Zeiss. To ensure future traceability, all items are laser engraved before final inspection, and we often engrave items with a wide range of customer information, logos and QR codes. We focus on security of supply and sustainability. Randers Gears delivers components on time and to the agreed quality.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & TECHNICAL INNOVATION
When developing new products, our technical department advises on design, material selection, quality requirements, specifications and heat treatment. Improvements and technical innovation are key points for the development of gears and transmission solutions. We work with our customers to develop the most cost-effective solution with a focus on the entire product lifetime.
SUSTAINABILITY
Our sustainability strategy is based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We work specifically with goal no. 12- (targets 12.5 + 12.6) on responsible consumption and production. goal no. 13 - (target 13.2) on climate action. goal no. 7 - (target 7.2). on clean energy we prepare climate accounts of the environmental impact and resource consumption associated with our products and services. We focus on the entire product/service lifecycle from cradle to grave, and we also optimize factors that lie beyond our own production.
