Recent Compositions and activities: • Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Cello and Piano, commissioned by Clarinetist Sigurður Snorrason.

• Saxaphone Quartet, commisioned by The Icelandic Saxaphone Quartet.

Scholarships/Grants/Awards: • Icelandic State artist fund grant for composers 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011.

• Nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards best classical piece of the year for his Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Cello and Piano 201.

• Nominated for the Nordic Councils Music Prize 2004 for “Ó, jesú eðla blómi”.

• Won the Icelandic Music Awards prize, best classical piece of the year for his first Symphony in 2004.

• Nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards, best classical piece of the year for his Piano Trio 2003.
