Resilience

Central to the many definitions of resilience is the ability to anticipate, adapt to, endure and recover from shocks and stresses. 2020 tested the resilience of countries, communities, organizations, families and individuals.

In 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic is still with us, but there’s light at the end of that long tunnel. We can foresee a not-too-distant time when we can again gather with family and friends, and with colleagues and clients.

With this hopeful prospect before us, we looked at what we’ve learned from the pandemic and how we can adapt to other stressors, such as climate change. Explore in these pages some of the ways we responded to the pandemic – and how we’re addressing the long-term need for greater resilience.
