UX Rip Off : ICICI website

UX Check Results Heuristic: Visibility of system status Severity: 3

Notes: Hardly any difference that shows where I am on the whole website.

Recommendation: Need to make this noticeable.

Heuristic: Flexibility and efficiency of use Severity: 4

Notes: Giving three different navigation bars without being intuitive enough or even co relating to each other.

Recommendation: Navigation should make sense. Options for a particular user better be contextual rather than a dump of all you have to offer.

Heuristic: Consistency and standards Severity: 3

Notes: The second menu is probably the worst menu for a service having multiple services. The content has been worked on poorly. There are multiple repetitions of the same options throughout menus.

Recommendation: Reconsider categorization of the menu items and how they will function. There might not be any need to show the options which are not possible without login.

Heuristic: Other Severity: 3

Notes: CONTENT mismatch TERRIBLE use of this space It is doubtful that people coming on to this site would want to see shopping offers to start with. The assumption of this being taken for a banking website is pretty ignorant. If it is supposedly a cool marketing stunt, just get it off if you want people to actually use your internet services.

Recommendation: Put down something that make it look more like a bank's website rather than a shopping website. Work on providing contextual data to your users rather than generic ads for any and every thing.

Heuristic: Flexibility and efficiency of use Severity: 3

Notes: Your frequent users will hate your user flows and the steps. Other banks already provide a much simpler way to get into your own bank account.

Recommendation: Cut off repetitions and extra navigation or use each navigation for a different purpose.
