Are you tired of the same old food? Does fast food have you feeling down and out? Are you ready to experience great foods from the rest of the world? If you answered yes to one or all of these questions, find your way to India Restaurant on Kings Highway in Shreveport. Not only do they advertise being the taste of India, they deliver. I have been to that area of the world, and enjoyed the taste of India and Southeast Asian cuisine on their home turf. India Restaurant brings to the table the same great tastes of those of the motherland India. The restaurant has been open for years, starting out in a hole in the wall building on Youree Drive next to the Cub Lounge; easy to miss on a busy highway, tucked away on a service road. It now resides at 189 Kings Highway next to the Centenary College tennis courts.
I have tried most on the menu over the years, and have yet to find something that isn’t worthy of complimenting. But I will say this, the Chicken Tikka Masala is so good that if anyone else tries to serve me some, they might just get punched in the throat. Not really, but you catch my drift...try it for yourself. The buffet (it had a lunch buffet) is still down due to COVID19 restrictions, so we can’t fault the establishment for that. They do however continue to provide unbelievable food at decent prices, and an experience you might not have gotten the chance to enjoy yet. The taste and atmosphere of other cultures, other foods of this world. Get out and enjoy it for yourself, you wont regret it. by Barry Bagerneth Check back here every week for moreArkLaTex Events & Unknown!
