Monday 14th June Aspire Does X-Factor
Entries being accepted now. Videos (maximum of 2 minutes long) to be sent to Shaun Pilkington via WhatsApp on 0785 693 4599 by 30th May. All entries will be posted on the Aspire CBS Leeds Learning Disability Week Facebook group on Monday 7th June and people can comment on each entry indicate and press Like up to 1:00PM on Wednesday, 16th June. Aspire will announce the winner during Picnic In Your Garden on Friday, 18th June.
Post a photo or video of something you have baked or cooked between 8th June to 15th June to the Aspire CBS Leeds Learning Disability Week Facebook group.
Tell Aspire which of the categories you are entering, Savoury, Sweet or Healthy.
All entries posted by 9:00AM on Wednesday, 16th June will be entered for judging and the winners will be announced during Picnic in Your Garden on Friday 18th June.
Throughout the Monday there will also be 3 live cooking and baking demonstrations at 10:00AM, 11:30AM and 2:00PM you’ll be able to join in the online chat and ask questions.

Do an activity or activities anytime from 1st of June through to 15th June. Post a photo or video of yourself doing it to the Aspire CBS Leeds Learning Disability Week Facebook group on Tuesday, 15th June.
Wear something yellow, cover yourself in sunflowers or carry a picture of a sunflower. Please let Aspire know how far you walked or how many steps you have achieved by emailing your area representative cath.marchant@aspirecbs.org.uk (south), teresa.jardine@aspirecbs.org.uk (North/West) and tracey.sowerby@aspirecbs.org.uk (North/East).
Aspire will total them all together and let you know how far we all went on Friday 18th June during Picnic in Your Garden.
There will be a special Zoom meeting of the ‘All in This Together’ chat group on 8th June on how to make sunflower badges and headpieces.

This year Leeds Learning Disability People’s Parliament will be held on Zoom.

Friday 18th June 11:30 Picnic in your garden Relax in your garden and (hopefully) enjoy the summer sunshine.
We’d like you to post photos or videos of your Summer Festival themed picnics to the Aspire CBS Leeds Learning Disability Week Facebook group. Aspire are looking forward to seeing you in your sunglasses, straw hats and skirts, Hawaiian shirts, drinking colourful mocktails.
We’ll announce the winners of the Aspire Does X Factor and Great Aspire Bake Off Competitions and reveal the grand total of steps/miles for the Big Yellow Sunflower Movement Day.
Then, between 1:30PM and 2:30PM guest DJ, Nigel ‘Cally’ Callaghan, will host a Summer Dance Party live on the Facebook group to round off the week.

Leeds Talent 2021
People In Action and LEEP1 have teamed up to put on a talent show and entries are now open.
The final will be at 7:00PM on Friday 18th June, when we’ll be going LIVE! on YouTube.
