Certification and licensing Description Trompenaars Hampden-Turner certifies individuals, companies, consultants, trainers, facilitators and coaches as licensees for the Intercultural Awareness Profile (IAP) & Culture Compass OnLine (CCOL)

Intercultural Awareness Profile Description The Intercultural Awareness Profile (IAP) is designed to assess the personal orientation of choices that individuals make when resolving intercultural business issues. Using a range of diagnostic questions, the questionnaire is able to elicit individual cross-cultural orientations against the Seven Dimensions of Culture model developed by Fons Trompenaars and fully described in the bestseller Riding the Waves of Culture. Over the past 20 years more than 80,000 managers worldwide have completed the IAP questionnaire, thereby creating one of the world’s largest and most established cross cultural reference databases. The Intercultural Awareness Profile can be used in conjunction with workshops as well as in coaching situations. It allows the user to perform a comprehensive personal analysis of their own cross-cultural orientation based on their individually generated profile and the personalized feedback provided. Depending on the circumstances, the questionnaire can be set up in different ways, and can include a component to produce a corporate culture profile. In the case of intact teams or larger groups, further questions can be used to sub-group participants according to their roles, functional areas or other variables and, thereby, provide insight into their orientation in relationship with other national and organizational cultures.

Culture Compass Online Description The Culture Compass Online (CCOL) is an interactive, country-specific, web-based elearning application for international managers, business travellers, expatriates and others who regularly deal with different cultures. The purpose of the CCOL is to increase the crosscultural awareness and skills of the individual user. The tool was developed for use in combination with in-company workshops as well as blended-learning programs, but it can also be used as a stand-alone tool.

Users can: •Complete an online introduction to culture and its different layers; •Complete an IAP to help them identify their own cultural orientations; •Receive individual feedback on their personal culture profile; •Compare their personal cultural profile against a country profile of 55 national profiles from our database of over 80,000 managers and professionals; •Receive feedback on the implications of the differences between the profile of the individual and a country of choice; including business cases, anecdotes, suggestions and recommendations; •Access in-depth, specific country information on how to do business in selected countries written by country experts. Licensee certification program Program description Our in-depth 2 day program prepares the trainer, coach, facilitator or consultant in the use and explanation of the IAP and CCOL. Throughout the program we focus on the development of the facilitators’ competence and knowledge in the 7 Dimension Model and the use of the online tools and elearning program. Our program includes the following elements: Key deliverables •Well-designed licensee certification programs which begins with the theory of 7 Dimensions and links to the personal preferences and development opportunities of the participants. •In-depth review of the 7 Dimensions model, providing licensees the understanding of the core from the organization which developed the globally accepted culture framework and which continues to research the emerging trends. •Tips and tricks from an experienced Trompenaars Hampden-Turner consultant regarding the 7 Dimension model and the online tool and e-learning program. •As a means of ‘sitting in the participants shoes’ the licensee first acts as participant in order to understand the tools and experience their implementation and use as a powerful development tool. •A thorough review of each tool: the purpose, the development and learning opportunities for participants, and the best practices for an optimal use of the profiles in coaching and workshops. •Playback sessions: an encouraging forum for licensees to simulate a coaching or training session with the tools. •An understanding of the technical set up and monitoring of the online tools and the available help desk services. •Opportunities to discuss and review the materials, country information, statistical analysis and support. Refresher Licensee Program This refresher program is designed for trainers, facilitators, coaches and consultants who are already working with the Trompenaars Hampden-Turner online tools. This 1 day re-certification program updates trainers in the development of the tools and the new online set up and monitoring process. It is also an opportunity to meet with our experienced trainers and consultants to discuss any challenges you have faced in using the methodology, model and profiles porting materials.

Legal. Partnership is key when working with our licensees. Every organization is different and requires an individual approach and personal contact. That is why our team listen carefully to your needs and help you meet your client requirements. As part of our licensee certification, we do ask our new partners to agree to certain conditions, to help us maintain the professionalism in the way our tools are used and to protect the years of intellectual capital and research which have helped develop our work IP, and online tools. A contract will be provided, but in summary, the following key conditions will be defined: 1.The Licensee Agreement shall be renewed every two years. 2.In order to use THT’s tools, a trainer, company or organization must have one or more of its trainers/facilitators become fully certified. 3. A company or organization that purchases a license agrees that the specified tools will be for internal use only and that they will allow only certified trainers/facilitators to apply the tools in interventions. 4.Rates quoted for delivery of books and materials are subject to change and based on delivery within Europe. 5.We offer scaled discounts for multiple purchase and as a reward for licensee referrals. 6.And of course; the Intellectual Property will remain with THT Consulting.
