H

appy Love Month! It’s that time of year again - Valentine’s Day. That day we do something a little extra special for our Valentine and don’t forget your other true love. Stop by any one of our ADVERTISERS and I’m sure you will find that perfect gift for that special someone or for your other true love. No headaches, no fuss, just bike specific stuff and you’ll be safe every time. Just remember, even if you don’t have anyone special on this holiday, your bike will always love you so get out there and ride! Just because winter is here doesn’t mean that you need to lock your bike in the garage. If you’re like Scott, and you’d rather winter ride than winterize, there will still be plenty of days where the sun is warm, the air might be cold so you’ll have to be prepared. Riding comfortably in cold weather begins with correct gear choice, and it’s all about layering. Base Layers (full leg, full sleeve), such as those offered by UnderArmour and many motorcycle apparel companies, are a must. Use heated clothing such as heated gloves, heated jacket liner, heated pants liner, and heated socks to help keep your blood circulating and maintain feeling in your hands and feet. Wear a balaclava under your helmet to protect your neck and face from the wind. Consider installing a windshield if you don’t ride with one or wind deflectors on the bike to redirect the flow of frigid air away from your body. Check your tires, colder temps lower your tires air pressure about 1 psi for every 10 degrees, and riding with the right tires will improve traction and handling on a variety of road conditions at lower winter temperatures. Take a look at your engine oil as well. Some manufacturers recommend switching to thinner oil in the winter to aid with start-up and improve cold-weather performance. By following these winter motorcycle tips, you can extend your riding season and get more enjoyment out of your bike no matter what the thermometer says. Just remember to exercise extra caution during your winter rides since car drivers probably aren’t expecting to see motorcycles at this time of year. Keep an eye on our FACEBOOK page for upcoming events, contests and more, and remember to submit your bike photos to ThunderRoadsTn@gmail.com for our Reader’s Rides page, your ride could be next! Check out page 6 for February’s Reader’s Ride. Happy Valentine’s month to everyone from all of us at Thunder Roads® Tennessee! We hope your day is filled with love, happiness and motorcycles! As always, please patronize our advertisers because they are what keep this magazine going and free to you every month. Ride Hard Live Free, Denise & Scott 3

HISTORIC WASHINGTON STATE PARK

C

ome on folks, Covid-19 is on its way out (we hope). This summer will be a great riding season and we can travel and have fun (we hope). Currently, most of the neat things to do at Historic Washington State Park are closed, but better times are just around the corner (we hope). Wouldn’t it be great to watch a blacksmith at work, where one of the original Bowie Knives was made? How about sleeping in a real jail? OK, so you’ve done that, but this time the only door locked was the one you locked yourself. This park is about 500 miles from Nashville and 250 miles from Memphis. It is also off of I-30 on your way west. The park is located at 103 Franklin Street, Washington, Arkansas, and is actually the entire 1800’s town. Starting at the 1874 Courthouse, now the Visitors Center, you can walk to visit the Blacksmith Shop, Weapons Museum, Print Museum, historic homes, and eat lunch at the Williams’ Tavern Restaurant, and if you desire, spend the night at the Jailhouse Bed and Breakfast (about $100/night). During post-Covid times, you can save your legs and make your significant other happy with a carriage ride around town, and enjoy interpreted tours of the facilities. You can join many travelers who used this as a stop on the Southwest Trail, including James Bowie, Sam Houston, and Davy Crockett. During the Civil War, Washington was the Confederate capital of Arkansas after Little Rock fell to the northern forces. The 1832 Williams’ Tavern Restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 3 pm. The building was moved from Marlboro, about 10 miles away in the 1980’s. Home cooking at a reasonable price with 4.9 out of 5 stars reviews. Daily specials (meat and 2) are about $9 and on Friday, catfish is $11.99. The Blacksmith Shop is an interpretive center, has 2 working forges and remembers James Black, one of Washington’s most famous blacksmiths. He is credited with forging one of Jim Bowies’ famous knives. There are stories about each of the 1800’s buildings in this now park. Go to arkansasstateparks.com for more information. Bullet Points

CALIBER VS. STOPPING POWER

H

appy February, Bikers! Hopefully you had a great start to 2021. I am always glad that there are only 28 days in February as it seems to always be a dreary winter month. Hopefully we’ll get some decent riding weather and y’all can get out. You know I will. So, in this month’s Bullet Points article we will discuss stopping power of some fairly common calibers and I provide some recommendations. Key Factors Determining Stopping Power 1. Caliber 2. Distance to the bad guy 3. Kinetic energy of the projectile (bullet) 4. Type, size and weight of the bullet 5. Placement of the shot Many of these are interconnected. The size/weight/type of the bullet + the distance to the target determines the kinetic energy the projectile will deliver. The placement of the shot determines the amount of kinetic energy absorbed by the target’s tissue. Caliber Any caliber of gun, from .22 short rifle to a 50 BMG, can dispose of a bad guy. Period. But it is a proven fact that a larger caliber (diameter) projectile will create a larger wound channel. Distance Distance to the bad guy correlates directly to how much kinetic energy is slammed into the thug’s vital tissues. The closer you are to the bad guy the more damage a well-placed shot will do. Kinetic Energy The release of kinetic energy into the violent thug is the most important of these five factors and depends wholly on each of these factors. And the kinetic energy directly correlates to the severity of the injury and how quickly the shitbag is incapacitated. Bullet Weight/Type/Caliber All things considered, shot placement is what will get the job done quickly with any caliber of bullet. If you plunk the thug in the heart or cranium it will take the fight out of them quickly. While you may be able to consistently hit the “10” ring on a paper silhouette or the head on a paper figure, that is not the real world. If you are using a .22 rim-fire out of a short revolver, hitting the head or heart in a scary, confusing, fast moving altercation is not easy. You certainly do not want to rely solely on luck to save your life. Understanding Kinetic Energy Any moving object creates kinetic energy. A coin dropped from a 100-story building is going to create kinetic energy as it falls to the ground. It will reach a certain speed in the fall, gain no more, and hit the pavement below. When it hits that pavement, it will stop (and probably bounce) - the initial impact will release the majority of the energy of its mass into the pavement. In fact, it will probably crack the cement from that height. Each successive bounce will have significantly less energy than the initial impact - until the coin is at final rest and has no energy.

Remember, kinetic energy is the force which a projectile (bullet) will have when it hits the target (person) at a certain distance. How that force reacts - and how much force remains - is dependent on several factors: distance to target (the further away, the less energy), type of bullet used - FMJ, hollow point or frangible - and where your bullet strikes. Obviously, especially with a handgun, where the bullet slows quickly, the potential energy which hits the target will be far less at 30 feet than at three feet. That is just simple physics. I will only say one thing about the bullet type. If you are using anything other than a jacketed hollow point projectile, you are putting your life and innocent people’s lives in danger. Hardball/full metal jacket bullets will inevitably pass through the bad guy and put other people in danger. While frangible ammo seems to be all of the rage, I am concerned that hitting heavy clothing will cause the bullet to fragment to quickly and small pieces have less kinetic energy – because they weigh less. I prefer the hollow point because it will mushroom and tends to stay together dropping all of its kinetic energy in the body. Physiology of a Gunshot Wound What will quickly incapacitate a bad guy - eliminating the threat he posed moments before? First, we must examine the effect a bullet has going into the human body. It creates a wound channel. The smaller the wound channel, the less damage it does (BIGGER is always BETTER). The penetration and quick release of energy creates a shock wave as it penetrates tissue, muscle, bone and organs. This shock wave slams through adjacent tissue, organs and bones causing extensive collateral damage. The optimum bullet is going to hold together, expand greatly and dump all of its energy in the body cavity. This dump of energy, and the damage it does to tissue surrounding the wound channel, is what causes rapid incapacitation. The shitbag will quickly go into shock and bleed out. The bad guy is well ventilated and will quickly cease to be a threat. Here are some examples of the kinetic energy of three common calibers: 9mm (124 gr) = 262 Ft/Lbs .40 S&W (165 gr) = 396 Ft/Lbs .45 ACP (230 gr) = 430 Ft/Lbs Conclusion While any caliber handgun has to be considered deadly, I always recommend carrying the largest caliber you can comfortably shoot. Larger caliber equals a larger wound channel and a more devastating shock wave. My everyday carry is either 9mm, .357 SIG or .45 ACP. The .357 SIG is a very nasty round with over 570 Ft/Lbs of energy. I can handle it very well, but it probably would not be good for someone sensitive to heavy recoil. Choose wisely and practice, practice, practice. Until next month, ride often and keep the shiny side up! ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, Mike Noirot gbb@TheGreyBeardBiker.com TheGreyBeardBiker.com

"THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT" The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is one of the most missed taught, missed understood topics in the entire New Testament, and yet it is the most important issue in the life of a believer. Some religions get on the right side of the ditch by focusing only on the Spiritual gifts, while other religions get of the left side of the ditch claiming that all the Spiritual gifts do not exist today. I personally have experienced both sides of this topic and have chosen to follow the Word of God over the word of a religion. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is to bring power and revelation to the believer. POWER; Matt.10:1 “…He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” Luke 10: 19 “Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy.” Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” REVELATION; 1 Cor.2:7 “But we speak the Word of God in a mystery” Vs.10 “But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit…yea the deep things of God.” Vs.12 “We received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” Jesus showed us the importance of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit in the book of John; John 14:12 “He that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall he do also; and great works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 16:7 “…it is expedient (profitable/better) for you that I go away: if I go not away, the Comforter (Holy Spirit) will not come unto you.” Jesus is implying that on this earth, the Ministry of the Holy Spirit is more important the physical body of Christ Himself. Believers today need to value the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. We can’t grow spiritually without the Holy Spirit. God’s Word was written to your heart, not your head. Vs.8 “When He is come, He will reprove (convict) the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement.” 8

Vs.9 “Of Sin, because they believe not on me.” The sin that will send you to hell is the sin of unbelief. Notice that the word sin is singular and not plural as in the sins of the world (killing, stealing, adultery, evil doings) Those sins (plural) have been paid for by the blood of Christ. 1 Cor. 15:3 “That Christ died for our sins.” 1 Pet.2:24 “Who in His own self bare our sins.” 1 Pet.3:18 “For Christ has once suffered for sins.” But the one sin (singular) that can not be forgiven is the sin of unbelief, rejecting Jesus. 1 John 2:2 “And He (Jesus) is the propitiation (payment) our sins (plural), and not for ours only, but for the whole world.” Past, present, and future sins (plural). Hebrews 10:10 “…we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Until next time, keep your face in the wind and your kickstand up. To be found faithful, Pastor Ron

by Bob “Bulldog” Ousley Dear Fellow Veterans and Patriots: If you follow my monthly column you know that over the past year or more, I’ve talked at length about the Marxist coup, their goal to undermine the constitution and take control of our nation. I’ve laid out the consequences we would face if they were successful. We now see the impact of China, world billionaires and the groundwork laid by the Obama administration. Schemes to set our nation up for take over have been well thought out and funded. The COVID-19 virus is a part of the plan and has been very useful in corralling Americans and making them compliant to unconstitutional oppression. It’s obvious the plan was to elect Hillary Clinton and not Donald Trump in 2016. Well, every plan has a few hiccups. Trump won and showed how a real businessman handles the economy, the world and politicians. But not to worry, the forces of evil have triumphed in the end. We can now look forward to everything the East Europeans experienced when Russia took control at the end of WWII. As I write this, we are still more than a week away from inauguration and several days after the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington DC. You’ll notice that riots and violence were acceptable to the Democrats last year when it was their people doing the rioting. You’ll also notice that a three-hour riot in DC has been proclaimed the highest level of criminality of the century. Truth and reality always suffer in a coup. Already the seeds of re-education and societal oppression are being cast. Major corporations are stopping their services for Trump supporters and conservative Republicans. Celebrities are bowing to the throne of the incoming dictator and his gang of thugs. Gas prices are making a slow creep up and it won’t be long before all of the things I’ve foretold will be put in place. President Obama’s former CIA head, James Brennan, has made a public statement that Trump supporters can be given leniency if they will abandon any support for Trump and declare they were misguided and will never do anything so stupid again. If you didn’t know, this is straight out of the communist handbook when a coup is successful. You have to label everyone who opposed the coup a criminal and an enemy of the state. If they don’t throw themselves at the mercy of the new regime they will be forever punished. If they ask for mercy and abandon their previous allegiances and unhealthy thoughts, they will be allowed a meager existence under close scrutiny. If they show a sign of having an unhealthy thought of patriotism to the constitution or stand against the new regime they will forever suffer. The talk of new laws making it a crime to have supported Trump are circulating. We’re likely to see words that were previously protected by

the 1st amendment made illegal with criminal penalties. If you haven’t watched the award-winning movie, George Orwell’s 1984, I suggest you find it on the internet while it’s still available and watch it. It foretold how a population is controlled by an elite class and how free thought is eradicated in order to obtain group compliance. We’ll certainly see trends in that direction now that all the stops have been removed to communist rule. The friendly social media corporations that helped get Biden elected will now be given more power to censor and propagandize for the regime. They are already at work shutting down any new social media that doesn’t censor or bow at the alter of Marx. Watch as funding and licenses for talk radio and networks that speak ill of the regime or show how it is not following the United States Constitution are removed. No longer will performance be used for evaluating a person’s worth. It will be the color of his skin and not the content of his heart. Only blind commitment to Marxism and an elite cast of power hungry one world masters will count. All vestiges of personal freedom will be infringed in order to justify taking personal wealth away from the common masses and using it for sustenance from a benevolent government. After all, it’s only a matter of time now until we all live at the mercy of our masters. Our borders will be opened to bring in hundreds of thousands of illiterate and poor workers who will see American free money as a pay raise. Our former incomes will be taxed and reduced to pay for all of these people and after all it’s only equitable that we all make the same amount and receive the same necessities. Everything will be government run and government given. Personal freedom and liberty will be gradually removed. Dress codes will begin to resemble uniforms, schools will become places of learning what to think not how to think. Anyone who still thinks our nation was founded on freedom will be constrained and retrained to think right and abandon those evil thoughts of personal freedom. Our lives will only hold value if we are a part of the party and support what the party says is happening and decrees important. We’ll all need to think alike. Innovation will be punished and blind compliance rewarded with an extra crumb of bread. After you read this you may want to burn it so no one knows you read such filth. If you keep it for the future you may think about finding a loose brick in your wall and hiding this so the party’s inspectors won’t find it when they come to verify you are in compliance and totally committed to the party. Get used to living in a gray world because beauty only excites thoughts of freedom and that can’t be allowed. Welcome to the Great Reset. One last thought, you may want to hide your bible. Allegiance to God is counter to government domination. Look for your preacher to be re-educated to glorify the state and not give people something other than government to worship. Goodbye Great America!!! * My monthly column reflects my personal point of view and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Publishers of this magazine, but they, like me, acknowledge the sacrifices made for the privilege of Freedom of Speech, therefore, they gratefully let me rant. Thank you for reading my rants. Hope my opinions don’t offend anyone, but we all should be grateful for the right to have free opinions.

NCOM BIKER NEWSBYTES Compiled & Edited by Bill Bish, National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM)

hotter-burning fuel could cause premature wear, engine damage and void the manufacturer’s warranty.

NEW YEAR, OLD BUSINESS With the new 117th Congress now in session, and the Biden Administration proposing a $2 trillion transportation and infrastructure plan to reauthorize federal funding for highways, vehicle safety and public transit, before the September deadline, motorcyclists are once again tasked with including motorcycle-friendly provisions in the new highway bill. Last session’s Moving Forward Act (H.R.2), included provision to: Increase Motorcycle Safety Funds to states by 25% (to $5.8 million); Extend the prohibition against using federal funding for motorcycleonly checkpoints, and also prohibit using federal funds to profile and stop motorcyclists based on of their mode of transportation or style of dress; Require the DOT to consider motorcycles in safety studies on autonomous vehicles and include a motorcycle safety group in the DOT working group on autonomous vehicle deployment; Extension of the Motorcyclist Advisory Council including a seat on the council for motorcyclists’ rights groups and manufacturers; and added an amendment during a floor vote in the House to provide federal monies to collect state profiling data regarding traffic stops based on “mode of transportation.” Failing to pass, like all other failed bills, the massive transportation measure will need to be dealt with all over again in the coming months, so contact your Congressional Representatives and U.S. Senators to include these much-needed provisions in the newly introduced legislation by calling the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Likewise, despite having gained over 130 bipartisan cosponsors, H. Res. 255, to address the issue of anti-biker profiling on a national level, failed due to House inaction and will need to be reintroduced and readdressed this two-year session. Once again, the National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM) and the Confederations of Clubs are calling on all motorcyclists nationwide, from patch holders to independents, to contact their Congressional Representatives to ask for their support of an anti-profiling measure in the House, similar to Senate Resolution 154 passed by unanimous consent in the U.S. Senate on December 11, 2018. As defined by the nonbinding S.Res.154, “motorcycle profiling” means “the illegal use of the fact that a person rides a motorcycle or wears motorcycle related apparel as a factor in deciding to stop and question, take enforcement action, arrest, or search a person or vehicle with or without legal basis under the Constitution of the United States.”

2021 RINGS IN NEW BILLS NATIONWIDE Working around COVID-19 restrictions and regulations across the country, bikers’ rights activists are pursuing motorcycle-friendly legislation; such as in Missouri where, fresh off their helmet law repeal victory last year, they are now pushing for House Bill 490 to allow “that a motorcycle or motortricycle may be operated on the shoulder of a roadway under certain circumstances.” In similar fashion, other states are or have been lobbying for various forms of “lane-splitting” laws to allow motorcycles to travel in-between lanes of slow moving traffic, such as in Montana where riders are advocating for Senate Bill 9 to allow “motorcycle filtering,” or Oregon’s Senate Bill 574 “Relating to vehicle filtering in traffic slowdowns” to “allow operators of motorcycles to travel between lanes of traffic under certain conditions,” or in Washington where House Bill 1106 would “Modify the operation of motorcycles on roadways laned for traffic” by allowing riders to “overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken.” In Pennsylvania, concerned riders are pushing to include new motorcycles in the state’s Automobile Lemon Law (House Bill 69), which unlike most states are currently not covered by the same consumer protections as cars and other vehicles. Concerns about conspicuity, or being seen in traffic, as well as aesthetics, have prompted motorcyclists in several states to modify their auxiliary lighting laws to allow colors other than red or amber; such as Virginia’s Senate Bill 1347 which “Authorizes the use of any color auxiliary lighting, other than blue, on motorcycles and autocycles,” or New Hampshire’s House Bill 461 “relative to motorcycle auxiliary lamping, and adding the New Hampshire Motorcyclists' Rights Organization to the traffic safety commission.” Four separate states (WA, MD, LA & UT) have taken action to pass antiprofiling laws to restrict law enforcement from discriminatorily profiling bikers for traffic stops and investigative measures, and New York hopes to join those ranks with A1747 to “Require the municipal police training council to ensure that issues related to motorcycle profiling are addressed in basic law enforcement training.” Considering the many legal and legislative successes for motorcyclists’ rights in 2020, contending with the worst viral plague in our lifetimes, 2021 portends even greater potential!

EPA ANNOUNCES E15 GAS PUMP LABELING The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a “Notice of Public Rulemaking” regarding labels on E15 fuel dispensers, proposing two potential changes to the current fuel pump labels, neither of which is amenable to motorcyclists or owners of small-engine equipment which can be harmed by high alcohol content gasoline. The EPA’s first proposal involves modifying current labeling to remove all warnings and prohibitions about E15 (15% ethanol blended fuel) use in susceptible engines, and their second is complete removal of the label from dispensing pumps. Consumers’ concerns are that motorcycles and ATVs are not approved for its use, nor are most small air-cooled engines, and using incorrect 14 14

EURO5 AXE COMES DOWN ON MANY MOTORCYCLE MODELS They say the New Year means “out with the old and in with the new,” and as we look forward to a raft of new machinery in the coming months, the introduction of new Euro5 emissions regulations means the axe is coming down on a number of older models of motorcycles. From January 1st, new bikes sold in the EU and UK have to comply with Euro5, which is why many new models have been upgraded for 2021, but it also means some models have been “killed off” as it was either not possible or not viable to make them compatible. So, as we herald in a New Year, we take a moment to reflect on those we’ve lost, or are about to lose, as VisorDown.com tolls the bell for those that didn’t make the regulatory cut: Honda has furiously updated to Euro5 specs, but their aging V4 models, the VFR800F, Crossrunner and 1200 Crosstourer won’t be updated to Euro5, partly due to expense but also to lack of sales. There’s also

a big question mark against the CB1100RS and CB1100EX retro roadsters, which again, are small sellers, and their air-cooled design makes any update difficult. Despite a similar flurry of Euro5-driven model updates, Yamaha also sees some notable casualties, such as the R6 Supersport, FJR1300 sports-tourer, the XT1200Z Super Tenere, XV950R cruiser and scrambler-style SCR950, running engines dating back over a decade means it’s not viable to update them, although some may live on in non-EU markets. Suzuki’s VStrom 250 and GSX250R are set to be dropped, but their new Hayabusa hyper-bike has been given an update to allow it to scrape by Euro5 eligibility for a stay of execution. Vulnerable Kawasaki models include the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja 400, ZZR1400, plus their W800 retro, Z1000 R naked and its small-selling J300 and J125 scooters. BMW’s C650 super scooters will fall by the wayside, though updates to their aging ‘pre-LC’ engine uses in their R nineT means the popular roadsters will ride on. Ducati’s new V4 Multistrada sees the end of the old 1260 V-twins, although the 950 and 1260 Enduro live on…for now. Triumph’s line-up is already Euro5 compliant, but there remains a question mark around its popular, but slightly aging Speed Triple 1050 and Tiger Sport 1050, and rumors suggest a new version of both will appear in 2021 sporting a new 1160cc engine. Legendary U.S. motorcycle-maker Harley-Davidson’s UK/EU model line-up will exclude its entry-level Street 750 plus the entire 883/1200 Sportster family. As a significant caveat to all this, while non-Euro5 bikes will no longer be made, an agreement called ‘end of series’ rules gives manufacturers up to two years to clear unsold stock. ENGLAND ENTERS NEW CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN, IMPACTING BIKING The U.K. is yet again inflicting another full lockdown, due to the deadly China Virus spread, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson initiating tough new stay-at-home orders for at least seven weeks until at least midFebruary. Those looking to their motorcycle as an escape route to deal with implications of the pandemic could put them in violation of COVID-19 guidelines and risk being fined. The U.K has moved into Tier 5, the FEBRUARY 2021

highest level of COVID-19 alert the nation has seen, and with that you may now only leave the house if you have a “reasonable excuse,” written into law and the police can fine those in breach for the first offense of £200 ($273.19USD), doubling up for further offenses up to a maximum of £6,400 ($8,742.18). England and Northern Ireland have joined Scotland, Wales and Ireland in implementing the toughest travel restrictions since the original lockdown last March, meaning that in all four Home Nations you can only ride a motorcycle as transport under certain circumstances, and being caught riding not as part of an ‘essential journey’ could levy a hefty fine. As in previous shutdowns, certain essential businesses will be allowed to stay open, and while that list includes vehicle repair and MOT (Ministry of Transport) testing services, motorcycle training and test centers are not included and all types of vehicle driving tests are suspended. This latest lockdown has also seen all motorcycle related activities stopped immediately including track days, trials and endures. NORWAY PLANS TO STOP ALL NEW COMBUSTION VEHICLE SALES BY 2025 Norway’s national government intends to drastically cut its greenhouse gas emissions in half by the year 2030, aiming to become a zeroemission country by 2050, so by 2025 the current plan is to completely do away with the sale of all new combustion vehicles (including motorcycles). By way of ratcheting up public incentives for EVs (Electric Vehicles) in reducing taxes, tolls, parking and ferry fees; battery electric vehicles have already outsold piston-powered cars, making up 54% of total car sales overall in Norway. "In Norway, we tax what we don't want and we promote what we want, and the consumer has, in this way, actually the opportunity to make the right choice," Norsk elbilforening secretary-general Christina Bu told the Huffington Post. I was leaving a Valentine’s Day party and may have had one too many “lover’s martini’s”. I saw the flashing lights and heard the siren.... Cop: Please turn off the truck and exit the vehicle. Me: I’m too drunk; why don’t you get in. -------------------------------------------------------------Things that make you go Hmmmm? Would A Fly Without Wings Be Called A Walk? Can Vegetarians Eat Animal Crackers? How Do They Get Deer To Cross The Road Only At Those Yellow Road Signs? Do Infants Enjoy Infancy As Much As Adults Enjoy Adultry? Why Is It Called “Tourist Season” If We’re Not Allowed To Shoot At Them? Why Is There An Expiration Date on Sour Cream? Why Are Hemorrhoids Called Hemorrhoids Instead” Of Assteroids? You can’t be mad at lazy people. They didn’t do anything. Wouldn’t you know it....brain cells come and brain cells go....but fat cells live forever! -------------------------------------------------------------INTUITION: When you don’t know how you know....but you know you know and you know you knew and that’s all you need to know. -------------------------------------------------------------Bubba feels he’s gotten to know himself a lot better last year and now realizes that he lives somewhere between playing his cards right, and not playing with a full deck. -------------------------------------------------------------When we were young we used to go “skinny dipping”. He yelled out,”Miss Jones, I need to take a piss!!” The teacher replied, “Now, Joey, that is NOT the proper word to use in this situation. The correct word you want to use is ‘urinate.’ Please use the word ‘urinate’ in a sentence correctly, and I will allow you to go.” Little Joey thinks for a bit, then says, “You’re an eight, but if you had bigger “jugs”, you’d be a ten. -------------------------------------------------------------I was asked to leave our Church Trivia Contest. Text to Mom: “Hello Mom, I need your advice. I have some of my boyfriend’s cum stuck in my hair. How do I get it out? Will I have to cut it out?” Text from Mom to daughter: “It’s nice you can send me such an honest text. No, you won’t have to cut it out. I’ve had literally “loads” of Daddy’s cum in my hair over the years and it will just simply wash right out in the shower.” Daughter back to Mom: ”Oh my God! Mom...damn, I meant to spell gum, and Ew!, TMI, Gross!!” -------------------------------------------------------------The boss of a Madison Avenue advertising agency called a spontaneous staff meeting in the middle of a particularly stressful week. When everyone gathered, the boss, who understood the benefits of having fun, told the burnt out staff the purpose of the meeting was to have a quick contest. The theme: Viagra advertising slogans. The only rule was they had to use past ad slogans, originally written for other products that captured the essence of Viagra. Slight variations were acceptable. About 7 minutes later, they turned in their suggestions and created a Top 10 List.. With all the laughter and de-stressing, the rest of the week went very well for everyone! The Top 10 were: 10. Viagra, Whaazzzz up! 9. Viagra, The quicker pecker picker upper. 8. Viagra, like a rock ! 7. Viagra, When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight. 6. Viagra , Be all that you can be. 5. Viagra, Reach out and touch someone. 4. Viagra, Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman. 3. Viagra, Home of the whopper! 2. Viagra, We bring good things to Life! And the unanimous #1 slogan: 1. This is your peepee... This is your peepee on drugs. My friend at work likes her suggestion best: The Hoover Vacuum slogan: “Put the power of an upright in your hand”! --------------------------------------------------------------Word to the not so wise.....
