SCOPE In the urban landscape design projects, the role of walkable environment is significant in enhancing social interaction, strengthening socialcoherence, and increasing liveability of city. Aside from making the urban environment more pleasant, safer and less polluted, improving a city's walkability can also ease traffic congestion and improve public health, and thus achieve the aim of sustainability. It will specifically discuss a series concepts relating to walkability in urban landscape and urban planning projects. And the role of walkable environment in enhancing social interaction, strengthening social coherence, creating liveable city will be discussed under urban context. And then, the scope will be narrow down to the street scale. Walking space, cycling path, carriageways and multi-functional activity zones are demand for accessible spatial and shape the identity of the landscape environment. Legibility of public domain, how people walk in the pathway are all the significant features defined the frequency that people participate in the space. (Moulay et al. 2017) Walkable by visitors willpower is another feather that inspired the design at this stage. The surrounding function zones such as coffee shop and sports field could are also meaningful in public domain design. It influenced on their choice of living environment and the community identity. (Montemurro et al. 2011)

DESIGN THEORY -MULTI-FUNCTION INFRASTRUCTURE LANDSCAPE "From the transformation of mono-functional industrial structures to the design of multi- layered, urban-ecological systems, greater attention and integration to the landscape of waste, water, transport, food, and energy may in fact elucidate the more fundamental processes that underlie and precondition the ongoing and unfinished urbanization of North America." -Landscape As Infrastructure, Pierre Bélanger

VISION, OBJECTIVES AND PRINCPLES OBJECTIVES AND PRINCPLES VISION, OBJECTIVES AND PRINCPLES Principle 1 A walkable and liveable green urban space Objective1 Use generous pedestrian network, continuous footpaths, dedicated pedestrian and cycle infrastructure on all streets and clear connections to key public domain increase walkable access to community centres in order to foster a more active, resilient and connected local environment.
Objective2 Provide walkable places at a human scale with active street life including street tree planting and sports facilities to provide Amenity and comfort for the community in order to deliver health and inclusive places for people of all ages and abilities.
Objective3 Create new civic squares , barrier free pedestrian connections, community gathering spaces, flexible zones for seasonal programming and events to generate a diverse urban centre.
Principles 2 A sense of place that reflects shared community values and culture Objective1 Create multi-function and pedestrian friendly new high street to better define the neighbourhood pride and identity.
Objective2 Integrating social infrastructure to generate community and create commuinty identity through shared gathering spaces, community hub and new plaza.
Objective3 Defining street character across the neighbourhood using street trees species selection to show the local character, provide seasonal delight and link to heritage.
