Who is She? The working woman. WHEther it’s having drinks with the girls, date night with her spouse, a local band concert, fashion collection preview, business meetings, She’s always ready for after work festivities. It’s important for her to keep it professional and appropriate for work. However, all it takes FOR HER TO TRANSFORM is a loosening of the belt, from a purse to a clutch, a new walk &

BOXY BASICS The workforce for women is growing rapidly, with more women becoming the “breadwinners” and contributing to the household financially. The boxy, suit fit of the garment makes her presence known, demanding attention, while the drape and pastel color palette contribute to her soft, nurturing and loving side.

SEXY SHEER & SEQUINS Women today are taking sexiness to another level with the usage of sequin, sheer, & embellishments. The transparency of the sheer and mesh, along with materials on top give the garments a lingerie feel while covering up the feminine body parts. This allows your mind to wonder and imagine what’s underneath while still giving an edge. In some cases the embellishments created a 3D surface. Causal garments are instantly taken from average to extraordinary with this trend.

BOHEMIAN BLOW : survival
Americans are scared that we’ll soon be facing a natural disaster that we aren’t prepared for. With the Republicans gaining power of the Government, ISIS in Syria, police shooting young adults and the outbreak of Ebola, people are unsure of what to expect next. Stocking up on can goods and toilets for survival in preparation for the worst.

CONSTRUCTION
The design was inspired by the peplum trend with a bohemian feel to it. It was made using three different types of gauze, a translucent fabric with a rayon/polyester blend. Traditionally gauze is used to cover an open wound but because it’s a woven fabric, it’s suitable for garment construction. Strategically placing the gauze pads side by side I pinned the two pieces together at the point that the pad split, in order to give off a fringe look. After making sure it was long enough to fit the natural waistline, I then sewed it together at the base. This step was repeated three times, to give the garment volume by creating layers. This garment contains four braids each formed from three strips of gauze and hand sewn at different basing points. The small braid around the waistline was sewn to the top of the layers to create a “ribbon” tie. The braid that covers center front, center left and center right is connected by running the gauze strip through the open loops of the braids.
