We are thrilled to have you participating in the AIESEC Kenya Exchange Summit March’s edition! Conferences are always important milestones of our organization. And for the Exchange Summit we will have four tracks, lots of discussions, networking and fun! As AIESEC Kenya, we are TOP 1 in Africa region growing network that is getting more connected and learning how to work together better and better. This conference will make you think about our main purpose: everyone being a change maker and creating a collaborative environment between our network. Its time to get together to go further on 2015 vision and to renew our energy for the coming quarter!

AIESEC Kenya Exchange Summit is an event to put together incoming interns with the purpose to prepare them for their internships and to build capacity to operation members as well with functional knowledge. The Exchange Summit March 2012 edition will happen from March 24th to March 25th in Ngong Town. The conference has two tracks: 1) Trainee Preparation Seminar (TPS)  for incoming interns 2) ICX Team Days  for team leaders and members in ICX The agenda was designed based in five objectives:

What not to forget in your luggage:

 Conference Team

 Internet modem and laptop;  Objects for personal hygiene (towel, slippers, soap, desodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, kleenex, etc);  Comfortable clothes and shoes for the conference time;  Warm cloth (be prepared for a bit of cold during the day too); The venue provides bed sheets and blankets;  Costumes for the global village party;  Materials for personal notes (pen, notebooks, etc);  Cellphone + charger (if needed);  Money to cover your own expenses (cover eventual transport, party drinks, extra snacks, conference products – shop);  On the conference fee it is included accommodation, meals and transport to and from the conference venue;

We will provide a shop to sell beverages. It is expected from the delegates to have enough money to cover their expenses during their stay in the conference. It is not permitted to take beer during the sessions, only at the global village party drinks will be allowed.

The Global Village is our traditional night during the exchange summits when all the interns and local committees brings their typical drinks, foods and stuffs. Be prepared for an around-world trip. We will provide transportation from Nairobi. Departure: 7:30am on 24th March Meting Point: In front of Hilton Hotel How to arrive at the conference venue: The bus to Ngong Town departures at Railways Station. Arriving at Railways Station, look for the matatus number 111. The price is between 40kshs and 80kshs and it takes around 1 hour to get there. Once at the bus station in Ngong, there are three ways to get to the venue.

Taken from the petroil station matatus to Kiserian and stopping at Roimen. From there, you must walk until up the hill and turn right twice.

Boda-Boda (motorbike)

Taken from outside of the bus station and getting inside Roimen flat. By there, turn right twice.

Taxi/Cab

350kshs

Delegate Fee: 2,000kshs (Payable at the venue) for accommodation, meals and transport from and to the venue. If you are not registered, we will not allow you to pay the fee during the event!
