+ flower template + printer & paper + scissors + paper glue + toothpick

Print out your flower template and cut out each bloom. Curl the corners of each and every petal with the blade of your scissors.

For 3, 4 and 5 petal layers - apply glue to the tab and assemble to create a cone shape. Stack the layers inside each other from largest to smallest, applying glue inbetween as you go. Apply a little pressure to the centre of each layer to â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;flattenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; the centre as you go to acheive stronger adhesion.

Take a single petal and roll onto a toothpick, seal with glue and remove toothpick. Take a second single petal, apply glue to the tip and wrap around the first petal so that they overlap slightly. Repeat with the third single petal.

Allow to dry overnight, and you have finished!

200g egg whites

Process icing sugar and almond meal in a food processor and seive.

50 castor sugar pink food colour 450g pure icing sugar

Head chef, Nic Wood has been with The Brown Fox since November, delivering funky, modern Australian cuisine to this exciting venue.

250g blanched almond meal

A chef for the past 15 years, Nic has worked in a number of Perth’s best restaurants and worked with some of Perth’s best chefs. He has also owned and operated his own successful catering company and was involved in winning Best Bistro in 2011.

150g castor sugar

FILLING 3 egg yolks 40ml water 200g butter (softened) 2t raspberry jam

Whip egg whites with half the castor sugar to firm peak. Add remaining castor sugar and food colour to the desired colour. Fold in the almond meal and pure icing sugar. Fold together until smooth and shiny. Place mixture into a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto a lined baking tray. Sit at room temperature for 1 hour before baking. Bake at 160°C for 12-15 minutes. FILLING Whip egg yolks in a Kitchen Aid mixer until pale and fluffy. Heat sugar and water in a pan until it reaches 121°C on a sugar thermometer. Slowly pour over the egg yolks and keep whisking until the mixture is cool. Slowly add the butter and flavour. Pipe filling into the centre of the macarons and sandwich together.

Many people search their whole life and never find that special person. You are my special person and my life has only just begun. If you are being married by a civil celebrant, you have the flexibility to design a ceremony that is as traditional or contemporary as you wish. Creating a marriage ceremony is a collaborative effort and can take many hours of research, talking and writing. Find a celebrant you really connect with and talk to them about a ceremony that is tailor-made just for you.

Of course you can have something ‘off the rack’ but the most beautiful and meaningful ceremonies are usually those where a few stories are told and your feelings for each other are reflected: the first date, the moment you both realised that this would be forever, the way you feel when she walks into the room, the proposal. Getting married is a serious business but memorable ceremonies find the right balance of light and shade, laughter and tears.

Tradition may guide the order of proceedings for your ceremony, but there are many alternative options for entering and exiting, position of the bridal party, presenting the rings and involving parents and others. The transition from one part of the ceremony to the next requires almost as much consideration as the words themselves, to ensure the ceremony flows well and looks good. This is especially important where you have decided to incorporate a number of different elements and is discussed in more detail at your rehearsal.

Vows While there are some specific words that you need to say as part of your marriage vows, the rest is yours to create. Writing a love letter to each other is a wonderful way to start thinking about your vows and your celebrant can help you to craft those words into something you and your loved one will remember for the rest of your life. Many couples choose to keep their words secret from each other until the ‘big day’, working individually with their celebrant.

Readings and rituals Is there a wedding tradition from your cultural background that you would like to include in your ceremony? You might ask a dear friend or a favourite aunt to read a poem or acknowledge a loved one who has passed away by lighting a candle. The possibilities are endless with the opportunity to locate or write material that contributes to the occasion.

Handmade. Bespoke. Individual. Along with every other part of your special day, your wedding ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to craft something a little different that expresses to the world who you are as a couple.

As one half of Merge Photography (a Wedding Upmarket Retailer in 2012), Karolina knew a thing or two about weddings. Her own wedding day to Ron, in December 2012, included so many wonderful unique elements, from the bouquets (put together by her mother) to the funky paper boutonnieres worn by the groomsmen. Fortunately for me, Karolina and Ron saw their wedding ceremony as another opportunity to express to the world who they were as a couple and we worked as a team to craft a unique ceremony with light and shade, laughter and tears.

A lined envelope makes a great first impression on your guests you will need:

+ An envelope + Your chosen paper liner + Cutting mat + Stanley trimmer + Ruler + Pencil + Glue tape + Scissors

With the flap open, measure the width and height of your envelope (ours was 145mm x 235mm). Minus 5mm from each measurement and with your Stanley trimmer cut a rectangle from your lining paper (ours will be 140mm x 230mm)

Place your rectangular sheet on top of your open envelope. It should be centred and the top of the paper should line up below the sealing gum of the envelope. With a pencil place a mark at the top centre of your rectangle, and on each side where the flap folds. (see white crosses)

With a ruler line up the centre and the right hand side pencil marks. Cut along the ruler so you have removed a triangle from the top right corner. Do the same for the other side.

Using scissors round the top tip of your liner.

Roll glue tape on the two side of the triangle and part way down the sides of the rectangle. (see white lines)

You can now place the liner inside the envelope and secure. Fold along the envelope flap crease and youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re done!

Annie P. tip... If you have to line a lot of envelopes itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s best to create a template with some scrap card and then use this to trace the shape onto your liner sheets. I’m a very sentimental, fun, passionate person Sharing these moments on a couples special day, I feel is such a privilege. I live by two sayings. The first being “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.” The other is “Happiness is a journey, not a destination.” Couldn’t be more true when it comes to marriage... More often than not, it’s all the small things that mean the most. I feel truly blessed to have met so many amazing couples over the past six years and having the opportunity to record and share all the special moments and candid details, some of which happen in a blink of an eye... (Or in my case a shutter).

My top tip to brides and grooms decorating or styling their wedding is… Do it your way! It’s your day so stamp your personalities in to the theming… Whether it is a favourite colour or hobbies you enjoy… Get inspired, enjoy the planning process and incorporate a little bit of each of you in to the day. As every wedding day is special in it’s own way, I don’t believe in squishing couples in to pre-ordered packages. Well I’ve always loved art, fine art (oil painting) and art history was a huge part of my teenage years. However along the line I left that love and pursued a career in software for 10 years. During that time I found photography as a foray back into my previous creative world. I shoot weddings because I believe marriage is a gift and it has the potential to be one of the most rewarding things in life. It’s also the foundation for a stable home but unfortunately many don’t make the distance. So I want to show you two things… passion and emotion. ‘Passion’ because it’s there when you look at each other now and should never leave. ‘Emotion’ because your whole wedding will be filled with them and I want you to relive it.

My workshop is on premises which allows me to provide other services including jewellery repairs, redesigning, remaking and the creation of new, individually designed jewellery pieces.
