It’s just slightly larger than the U.S. state of West Virginia, and ranks 120th in size in the nations of the world. The northeast corner of the island, appropriately named Northern Ireland, occupies about 17% of the area, and is a part of the United Kingdom. The Republic of Ireland occupies the remainder of the island. • In 1921, Ireland was divided into Northern and Southern Ireland by the British Parliament. Northern Ireland’s population was primarily Protestant British loyalists who wanted to remain a territory of the United Kingdom. Southern Ireland, primarily Roman Catholics, became a free state in 1922. Belfast has been the capital of Northern Ireland since 1921. Between 1969 and 2001, more than 1,600 people were killed in Belfast as the result of political violence. • “Eire” is the Irish name for the Republic of Ireland. I really appreciate your interest in reading the Tidbits paper. The paper is free to the public, but the revenue to produce the paper comes from advertisers. This is the same method to have television shows, radio programs and many other venues we all enjoy. However business owners rely greatly on readership information. My Linn County paper has been audited each year by Circulation Verification Council since I began ten years ago. I started the Johnson County paper four years ago and have also been paying to have it audited. However with so many people now just using cell phone service, it gets harder all the time for audit agencies to contact a good sampling of readers in a given area. The television stations answer to this was to get our government to enforce a policy to
require all stations to use a digital signal which has over 90% of today's market using some sort of cable or satellite box. These boxes track everything that is being watched and are able to use this information as part of their audit information. So for five week's we have been running an extremely large ad promoting an online survey that the audit agency is conducting. I would greatly appreciate if you would do the survey. We do not need your name for the survey. However, for those that will include a name and mailing address we are entering that information into a separate giveaway. The audit agency does not share your name with anyone nor will we be receiving your name with the results of the survey, so we will not be able to know what individuals answered in the
survey. We (Tidbits) will be mailing out gift certificates to the winners once they are selected. The audit agency will only share with us the total number of people who did the survey and the results total. It is this information that (the audit results without any names) we will have to share with our clients and potential clients. With this information we hope that we can increase our advertiser base and be able to increase our pages to offer our readers more than what we currently do. I would like to thank the several hundred people who have already taken a few minutes to complete the survey. The result of her forgiveness transformed this killer as he stood up and asked her for forgiveness for what he had done and the pain he had caused the family. I watched the mother of the convicted murderer hug the victim’s mom as they both wanted to put an end to the pain. The ACT of forgiveness has the power to repair, mend, soothe, heal, and restore broken hearts. ACTION – THE REGRET THAT YOU FEEL MUST BE COMMUNICATED SINCERELY. IT MUST COME FROM YOUR HEART.
