25-26 Oyster Reef Ball Build from 9 a.m. to noon at Sailwinds Park, Cambridge Park to pour concrete and build teamwork. Come with clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, closed toed shoes, and drinking water. Sponsored by ShoreRivers and Coastal Conservation Asso ciation Maryland. Oyster reef balls are concrete reefs that oysters and other beneficial species grow on. Reef balls are placed in our rivers and provide habitat, attract fish for anglers, and are tons of fun to build. 26 Suicide Bridge Extreme Boat Docking Contest ~ Boat docking, also known as the water rodeo, is a water sport in which workboats and charter boats compete to “dock” their boats. They compete for cash, prizes, trophies and of course, bragging rights. These runs are filled with captains of all ages, some of the youngest being just 10 years old. The event starts at 1 p.m. at the marina at Suicide Bridge

26 45th Showcase sponsored by the Dorchester Center for the Arts. Come spend the afternoon walking down Historic High Street in Cambridge from noon to 5 p.m., take in all the sights and sounds of this beautiful waterfront venue filled for the day with creative and unique artwork for show and sale. This juried fine arts event showcases painting, photography, ceramics, drawing/pastel, fiber/textiles, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, and watercolor creations; even heritage arts such as boatbuilding and blacksmithing. A little bit of everything! Once you’ve chosen an art treasure or two to enhance your visit a full array of food and refreshment vendors will be featured along with local musicians and performers providing entertainment for all ages.
