Involved Illustrations
While illustrations have been prevalent on websites for many years, there’s a growing trend of having custom, detailed, and well-executed illustrations grace websites recently, and I’m sure this is a trend that is just getting started. Pairing the illustrations with a bit of animation really helps grab attention and can be used as another way to communicate with your visitors.
Dark Mode
Dark mode web designs not only look ultra-modern, but they’re easy on the eyes and make colors and design elements pop. Sometimes the most visually stunning web design trends have practical beginnings. Dark themes are better for LED screens—saving power and extending screen lifespans—but that utility doesn’t stop them from looking good. Dark backgrounds improve the visibility of other accent colors for truly dynamic design.
Chat Bots
Chatbots are programs designed to imitate a conversation, that currently is being developed and improved, becoming more like people. They collect a base of constant questions and in the future immediately respond to interested users. There are two types of bots: with ďŹ xed database and AI-based.
Video Content
Not a new trend, but for now there is no substitute for it. It creates a contradiction of lack of time when surďŹ ng the Internet. Most users have no desire to stay long on the site. But most of them are willing to spend 2, 5 or more minutes to view the relevant video. 96% of users watch videos to explore the product in more detail.
White Space
The use of “white” space is one of the principles of logo design and an effective way to attract attention. Under the white space means the area between the design elements, as well as the space inside some elements of the web page (including line spacing and stretching of the font).
3D Digital Artwork
Oering otherworldly interpretations to familiar materials, these digital 3D images adorn our websites in luminous, neon-colored shades. Artworks such as these act as tempting little eye-candy that lures in visitors’ attention, contrasted against a layout that’s clean and minimal.
Minimal Design
Minimalism has been a popular design choice for mobile for a few years now. Still, it’s a reliable and long-lasting trend that has more than proved its worth, and looks set to stay strong through 2020. The point we want to emphasize here, though, is that minimalist design doesn’t have to mean boring design. You can still use bold, bright colors, overlapping sections, and heavy fonts – whatever suits your branding.
AI and Voice Interaction
Did you know that 65% of 25 to 49 year olds speak to their voice-enabled devices at least once per day? The way that we interact with brands online is changing, with screens no longer a necessity. Voice search and voice interactions, combined with AI technologies, are revolutionizing the way we navigate the web.
Exposed Grid and Windows
Web design is recently ďŹ nding inspiration in none other than technology itself. By referencing iconography that we know all-too-well from our operating systems and apps, websites can express a look that’s both contemporary and slightly tongue-in-cheek.
Split Screen Content
