Miracles, friendship, courage, trust. A family living in a city inherit an old house in Misty Valley. This inheritance proves to be a challenge to these

city dwellers, who are accustomed to a comfortable luxury lifestyle. It is especially worrying that the valley where

the house is located is often covered in a mysterious fog. Because of the thick fog, Leah and her brother’s mother forbid the children from leaving the yard. However, one day Leah becomes acquainted to with a strange creature

who tells her about the secrets of Misty Valley. Leah learns that beyond the wall of fog there is another world that is inhabited with fairies, gnomes, and elves. Needless to say, the children become very interested in this world.

A few days later, when Dad was away in the city

taking care of business, and when Mom was inside

cleaning up, and Leah and Noah were outside in the yard playing, Sally came over again. Leah was about

to run inside and get her mother, when Sally put her finger to her lips and whispered: “I wanted to speak with you. Have you noticed anything strange in the yard?”

“I noticed that the fog rolls in from the forest.

And in the same way, it rolls back out again. Some-

times I hear secret voices in the fog. I’ve also noticed

that some sort of strange creature walks around in the fog. He waves at me, as though he were beckoning me. But, Mom does not let us play out in the yard when the fog rolls in.”

“Since you’ve noticed so much already, I will tell

you more,“ Sally said. “A long, long time ago the

world was different. In that world people, fairies,

elves, trolls, and gnomes all lived together. The fairies had magical dust, the elves could turn into humans, the gnomes would find gold... Only people did not

know how to do any magic. That was why people took all the other creatures and turned them into slaves.

The citizens of the Magical World did not like that at

all. That is why they used their magic powers to create a secret world. They named that world Misty Valley.

They protected their magical world by creating a circle of fog around it, hiding it from people’s eyes.

“Yesterday I almost broke my neck reaching for apples high up on the branches of the apple tree. I even started to regret that I had not been born a giraffe. And today I wake up and find this basket of apples left here for me. Did you pick them for me?”

“Me? Pick apples?” Pinchy blurted out in surprise. “Me? Climb a tree? Don’t you know that I clip my nails every day.”

awoke in his mouse hole and felt how his dream was coming true. Soon the little mouse grew so big that he

could eat the biggest apples from the apple tree as though they were berries. His dream had finally come true. The mouse through he would be the happiest mouse in the world. Only, is it really that much fun to be the biggest mouse of them all?

“

Once upon a time there was this little mouse. Even if we compared him with

the other little mice, he was still very tiny. In a line of all little mice he would be, let’s say, the 5th to last. This little mouse was absolutely adorable and completely harmless. He would lay down in his little bed which was placed in a little cave,

cover his head under the blanket so only the tip of his tail could be seen and start dreaming. In that dream he would picture himself as a tremendously big mouse, not that tiny little mouse he is now.

will find Museong and other animals or things around him. Children can decided how to colour the mouse and their decision will determine whether the mouse appears big or small. If the mouse and an elephant is

colored this will mean that Mouseong is a big mouse, but if, instead of an elephant, a chicken is colored this

would mean that Mouseong is only a small little mouse. What did the mouse catch – a butterfly or a plane? Is he a really big or a really small mouse?

The book is illustrated so that in each picture one sees several different pictures. For example, children must find the wolf in the dark forest or to find the ghost among the group of friends sipping tea. Everyone should give it a try!

Una was sent there by the ruler of the

fairytale world.

“People have gone crazy! It’s just wrong

how they see the world!”, he shouted and

covered up the crystal ball, which he has just

used to watch worldly TV advertisements. “I cannot see the future because of these ads!”

In the meanwhile, his wife was frying potatoes for dinner.

“Una could help them out”, she said

while taking care of the dishes.

Una is a little fairytail girl, a love child of a samurai and a flower. She has an

extraordinary ability to see only good things. It might not sound as impressive as

having the ability to fly or eat whatever you want and never get fat. However, that

unique ability of hers can do wonders.

That is what the ruler of the fairytale world has been thinking of.

Teddy Bears are often brave. Well, actually Teddy Bears are brave most of the time. Al-

though it is true that for ages it has been written in the stars that courage and a Teddy Bear are inseparable. They go together like peas in a pod. However, every so often, even among

brave Teddy Bears you may find a shy and frightened bear. Arnold was such a Teddy Bear.

He could not remember when fear took root in his heart. “Have I always been frightened?” he thought. His fear was as dark as the night, as cold as ice, as sharp as a knife.
