Our target consumer is a professional male in the prime of his career. He has a personal style, owns a luxury vehicle, and stays in nice hotels when he travels. His free time is engaged the luxury of pursuing his interests, including drinking fine scotch, building and flying airplanes, and his aspiration to be more than a cliff notes intellectual.

Project Summary

As our Designer Menswear customer is educated in style: he understands quality, knows what looks good on him, and knows what is current. He also considers himself to be an intellectual. We meet him on these grounds with this book, the tailored notes of an academic's view of fashion exposed through the intellectual’s point of view. Our spreads unite to form a philosophy aligning menswear with how we define humanity, he the Fountainhead.


Theme Son of Man, Rene Magritte Concept Menswear is constant. As with a drop of pitch, we wait decades for great change, while the visible details hide even greater details, both of the cloth and the man who wears it. Men as a whole have caught on to what is easily apparent, and what is left for our customer is to improve our offerings to satisfy their aspiration to stay ahead and above, beyond reproach as the ideal man.

Story 1

Summary The five items necessary for every sartorially-conscious man's closet this season. These essential elements aren't common basics, but set the pace for the season; Men who do not own these items will be seen as dated. The 2 page spread features a single image of early morning light glaring through the window, beams directing attention to the items artfully displayed on a wall.

Summary

HEADER Over it All Subhead Dressing well has become a pursuit of the masses. Show you’re still above the crowd.

Story 2

Overcoats made a powerful impact on the runway, and we expect them to become major sellers as signature pieces this season. The overcoat will set our customer apart from the crowd. Not just for warmth, the overcoat connects him to his inner Creative heroes (rock stars especially). The spread features our model standing above others, the image composition subtly suggesting him on a stage facing a crowd by using natural settings to elevate him.

Story 3

There are now more men's fashion choices pushing the envelope; Staying at the front requires a tight focus to define ideal style. Our man enjoys both easy luxury and the unease of those who don't understand his formula. We also introduce our new selection of Richard James products. The spread is exclusively Richard James. The model fills the majority of each image. Each image exposes more face until he finally makes eye contact.
