OUR FUTURE

LEAVING YOUR LEGACY

“Not only can names be on individual dorm rooms, but Tilton will also include the named dorm rooms on the Knowles Hall leadership donor plaque to be installed in the renovated lobby.”

Leaving Your Legacy

In the New and Improved Knowles Hall

The total renovation of the East Wing of Knowles Hall is nearly complete, and in mid-2023 we hope to move onto the West Wing. Our capital campaign is approaching our goal, but we need a few more heroes to help us wrap up the campaign and this critical capital project.

We are now offering naming opportunities in Knowles Hall, and we want to offer you a very special one. You now have the opportunity to name an individual dorm room in the new and improved Knowles Hall; not only can you help us finish this near $20M campaign with your pledge/gift, but you could put your name, the name of a loved one, or the name of a beloved Tilton faculty or staff member, on one of these 58 rooms in perpetuity. (Perhaps even your old room if it is still available!) Please see the Alumni or Parent/Grandparent sections of this brochure for more details.

The Family You Choose

Honor the Tilton friendships that last a lifetime

As an alum, you know better than anyone that a dorm room is more than a place to rest. It’s a home away from home — a space that creates memories and lays the foundation for life’s next steps. The Knowles Hall project is about honoring our legacy as a school while building for the exciting possibilities the future holds. “Our gift for the Knowles Project is an important investment to preserve Tilton’s legacy,” says Kristen Kupperman ’06. “We are all influenced by the environment in which we live, work, and learn and we are thrilled to support building a vibrant space that plays a formative role in our Tilton School community.” Naming a dorm room — for yourself, your floormates, or in honor of a teacher, coach, or mentor — is your chance to support the future of Tilton while leaving a mark for

generations to come. By honoring the community in this way, you distinguish yourself as a leader and align yourself with the most influential project in the history of the school.

For a pledge of $5,000 per year for five years, you can secure your naming opportunity today. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can’t afford that commitment on your own at this time, perhaps a group of former roommates/floormates, classmates, or teammates would want to pool gifts together. Looking for a way to thank that faculty member who helped set your course? We would even let you break the news to your honoree if you’d like. No matter your vision for this gift, it is an incredible opportunity to give back to Tilton. Thank you for your consideration.

Making Memories

Ensure these opportunities for generations to come

Think back to the first time you dropped your child or grandchild off at their dorm room. Those memories — taking the extra time to rearrange the room, or running out for supplies at the last second — represent the beginning of your student’s journey on the Hill. Their home away from home helped keep them connected to the people they love while experiencing the opportunity of a Tilton education, and those memories last a lifetime. “My dorm room in Knowles is where it all began for me at Tilton,” says Topher Hamblet ’94. “I can still remember how my room was set up and who lived down the hall. It’s so exciting to know that this renovation means that future Rams will be able to call Knowles ‘home’ while they’re on the Hill!”

Here is your chance to give back to Tilton and name a dorm room for your child or grandchild in the soonto-be fully-renovated Knowles Hall. This is an amazing way to support our historic renovation project while honoring the student’s hard work and accomplishments while on the Hill. It could also be a chance for your family to honor and thank a Tilton coach, advisor, mentor, or faculty member who helped your loved one succeed. We would even let you break the news to your honoree if you would like. For a pledge of $5,000 per year for five years to the Knowles campaign, you can secure your naming opportunity today. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you for your consideration.
