adies and gentlemen, welcome to the Time Show. And welcome to the Time Show magazine, a magazine made of short stories about time and light. You will soon understand that what’s in front of you right now is a photography magazine. Another one? Yes. Even if, to me, there’s not too many of them. You’re right, I probably don’t know them all. But a lot that I know... They don’t satisfy me. It’s not the place to tell you why, but I thought you should know. Because on the contrary, I see very good photographers nearly everyday. They are from all over the world, so I don’t really ‘see’ them, but I see what they do; we exchange pictures, ideas, thoughts, insults sometimes. Those photographers are able to tell stories nearly without using words. They just use pictures. But their stories have plenty of the wonderful aspects of the ones you used to read: they convey a lot of emotion, a lot of informations, and they have a lot to tell us about who we are and what is this world around us. It’s another language. Do not think those stories have to be all simple because there’s only pictures: it’s not a children’s book. Or maybe it can be, sometimes. You’ll see. Some things will be explained in the handwritten notes the photographers left with their stories. Some others... You’ll have to discover by yourself. This first issue already showcases the work of photographers from Poland, England, Germany, France, Spain and USA. Having said that, I guess the show has already begun. It’s a new vision, a new language, a new story for a new world. I think you’ll appreciate that. With all good wishes, The editorial writer

The layout of this magazine is inspired by the legendary underground gay mazine “MAGAZINE” published by Didier Lestrade and Mistgris from 1981 to 1986. “MAGAZINE” was an example, not only in the design but also in the determination of those who were doing it, specially Didier Lestrade. The battles he fought to keep his magazine going, at a time when it costed a lot of money, time and energy, inspire respect. While “TIME SHOW” is not a gay magazine, it is clear that this culture still inspires creators worldwide. This layout is a tribute to people who never stopped fighting for what they believed in. Let’s walk on their tracks.

“My father started working at this hospital in 1976. Hospitals aren’t a nice place, but I have good memories involving this one. When I was a child, this hospital was a place full of people and life, surrounded by lovely gardens everywhere. It didn’t scare me maybe because it didn’t look like a hospital. There used to be soldiers but then the hospital became part of the Spanish health system (instead of being a military place) and now there’s no one left. It’s an empty sad place. This hospital is now death because of a bad administration, with lots of machines and materials going to waste, when we need more hospitals in Spain. I wait hope that someone will fix this situation and rehab this extraordinary place that has 87.500 m2 and 22 buildings, it even used to have to his own church. The neighborhood protests will continue until someone finds a solution to this really special place.”
