The first of its kind U.S. Africa Leaders’ Summit, the biggest assembly of business leaders and policy makers from the United States and Africa is now being labelled by as a huge success. The three-day meeting deliberated affairs vis-àvis trade, security and governance. It was in reality a way to push the often belittled African continent’s economic prospective and safeguard it a sunnier future.

he three day US-Africa Summit, Aug 4-6, 2014 commenced amid the Ebola outbreak which goes forward to take over the banners. President Obama graciously cheered leaders from across the African continent to Washington, D.C. to an event which was envisioned to fortify bonds between the United States and one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest growing regions, Africa. Grounded on broad discussions and shimmering shared goals, summit encompassed sessions on trade and investment, growth, peace and security, and governance. Other events augmented and educated the exchange of ideas among Heads of State and government, counting the Young African Leaders Summit, the Civil Society Forum, the landmark U.S.-Africa Business

Forum, and the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Ministerial. These events built-in a range of U.S. and African civil society, youth and business leaders and accentuating a belief of broad, bilateral support for U.S. engagement with Africa involvement by Members of the U.S. Congress. The Summit also encompassed a day-long Spousal Program, hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama and former First Lady Laura Bush that was absorbed on the impression of investments in education, health, and public-private partnerships. THE KING OF THE JUNGLE Nigeria is frequently bring up as the Giant of Africa due to its large population and economy. With about 174 million inhabitants, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the seventhmost populous country in the world. The country is populated by over 500 ethnic groups, of which the three largest are the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. Regarding religion, Nigeria is roughly divided in half between Christians, who live mostly in the southern and central parts of the country, and Muslims, focussed typically in the northern and south-western regions.

Nigeria is situated in West Africa and shares land borders with the Republic of Benin in the
