Unaffi liated Jews invited to High Holy Day services

Temple Beth Shalom of the West Valley invites Jews from Buckeye to Peoria and Glendale and Avondale to Surprise who are not affi liated with another congregation to join it for High Holy Day services.

A limited number of tickets are available for either in-person or Zoom participation.

Those who would like to attend in person will need to provide the temple offi ce with a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination certifi cate (by email or U.S. mail) or stop by the temple offi ce and allow a staff member to verify the certifi cate.

Those who wish to participate on Zoom will be able to participate beginning with Selichot through Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur by using a computer, tablet or smartphone or just listening via phone. After registering, guests will receive information via email about how to view on Zoom. To arrange for in-person tickets or request access on Zoom, contact the temple offi ce at 623-977-3240 between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. To receive a ticket by mail, guests must contact the offi ce and register by Aug. 27; after that date, guests will have to register in person at the temple offi ce. The idea of Go Figure is to arrive at the figures given at the bottom and right-hand columns of the diagram by following the arithmetic signs in the order they are given (that is, from left to right and top to bottom). Use only the numbers below the diagram to complete its blank squares and use each of the nine numbers only once.

Each numbered row contains two clues and two answers. The two answers differ from each other by only one letter, which has already been inserted. For example, if you exchange the A from MASTER for an I, you get MISTER. Do not change the order of the letters.

SCRAMBLERS
