End the feud Editor: Enough already! I think it’s time to discontinue the weekly platform that you give to the ongoing feud between William Hicks and David Kay concerning the Ballona Wetlands Restoration Project. Their differences of opinion are never going to be resolved in these pages, and I think that it’s time to give this limited space to other readers who want to express their opinion on a variety of other subjects of local interest. Steven Jayson Playa Vista Ballona Wetlands Editor: I respect the opinionated volleys from Walter Lamb of the Wetlands Land Trust and Dr. David Kay on what happens to our wetlands well down the road. I feel a much more pressing issue confronting the Ballona Wetlands today is the motor vehicle, tent encampment along W. Jefferson Boulevard just west of Lincoln Boulevard. We have an ecological, societal and human health hazards occurring now. The misplaced persons settlement threatens the Wetlands with unsightly trash, litter, and undoubtedly human feces creeping into the marsh areas in abundance. I don’t suspect it’s the fertilizer needed for the area. I hope the city and our council members recognize the plighted area and take action

– just as they have done recently to address the crisis at Westchester Park. We need to address this issue and crisis immediately. Ted Lux Playa del Rey Failures of the medical system Editor: I read Ms. Redman’s cover story in the November 18 issue of the Argonaut and was shocked and disappointed by the failure of the medical system in treating Ms. Giese’s simple injury. It’s important to highlight this story and how to avoid such disasters in the future. Despite being the largest tendon in the body, the Achilles is plagued by poor blood supply, making an otherwise simple surgery of repair a risky endeavor. Tendon repairs in other parts of the body are protected by ample soft tissue, bringing about additional blood supply alongside a physical barrier from the external environment. The Achilles has little room for error, with only a few millimeters of soft tissue covering, necessitating careful repair of the paratenon layer over the Achilles for healing, as well as impeccable soft tissue management before, during and after surgery. While smiling portraits of Ms. Giese show her resilience in this article, it highlights the need for transparency in advertising of physician credentials to avoid such disasters in the future. Twenty years prior to this injury, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society had just begun to work on

leads to significant confusion over the actual expertise of the physician. Luckily, we do have two signifiers that demonstrate approval by our colleagues. Board certification must be kept current on a routine, with renewal every 10 years. However, mandatory activities to remain current must be completed on a much more frequent basis, with requirements for continuing medical education, self-assessment examinations, case presentations, and recertification examinations, even after the two-part board examination completed after training. Fellowship training signifies an additional year after residency for a particular area of expertise. Examples within orthopaedics include sports medicine (which generally focuses on shoulders, hips and knees), arthroplasty (which is exclusive to hip and knee replacement), pediatrics, shoulder and elbow; hand, foot and ankle; spine, trauma and oncology. Highly specialized fields may require more than one fellowship, such as pediatric hand surgery. The level of experience and knowledge for a subspecialist far
outweigh the general requirements for residency graduation. General confusion over physician credentials is apparent every day, when patients are referred to me for hand injuries or knee arthritis, or the patients who show up with the mistaken idea that I am a podiatrist. As a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with accredited fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery, I practice below the knee despite the ability to do any orthopaedic surgery of my choosing. It is in this area that I know my expertise makes me the best physician and surgeon. I have been practicing in Marina del Rey since 2016 and was the first orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon here when I joined the specialists at DISC. I am in solo practice and have gained professional team consultant positions with Red Bull North America, America’s Cup Sailing, the Las Vegas Raiders, and treat individual athletes from many other teams as well. I have also established the Heal Institute in Marina del Rey to offer specialty care for heel pain, a cluster of diagnoses often pushed aside by specialists who prefer to see patients with problems that

standardizing the foot and ankle curriculum in all orthopaedic residencies. Ms. Giese’s orthopaedic surgeon, who was presumably not fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery, had last done Achilles reattachment surgeries somewhere between 1990 and 2000, before this curriculum was standardized for the general orthopaedic surgeon. Even today, many orthopaedic residencies spend only five weeks of the five mandatory years of postgraduate training specifically dedicated to the foot and ankle. Fellowship-trained orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeons are less common than our sports medicine or general orthopaedic colleagues. Only 6% of graduating orthopaedic surgeons go on to complete a foot and ankle fellowship. That said, the need for specialty care is apparent. The story illustrates the need for public education on the meaning of board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and fellowship training in the appropriate subspecialty. Many physicians practice outside of their “scope” and there are constant “turf battles” that leave patients understandably confused. Direct-to-consumer advertising
The Venice Sign lighting on December 4. can be fixed with surgery. I appreciate this conversation about the failures of the medical system. Limited ability to organize and advertise causes massive confusion in the system, and patients often rely on word of mouth referrals or advertising by larger hospital systems. I hope that by sharing Ms. Giese’s story, you can help patients find their way to the right specialists for their needs. I urge people to seek out board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons specific to
the injuries that they have. Alexis E. Dixon Board certified orthopaedic surgeon Foot and ankle surgeon Marina del Rey

Keeping Holidays Happy for Pets By Susan Marie is the season to be celebrating the holidays with family and friends! To ensure that celebrations are relaxing and enjoyable, preparation is key. Before the festivities begin, have a plan in place that includes the safety of your four-legged family members. As we all know, pets are a huge part of our families and we want them to enjoy the holidays just as much as everybody else (if not more!). Nothing squashes holiday merriment like an emergency veterinarian visit. Below are a few recommendations for a safe, healthy and happy holiday season for you and your pets: • Festive décor. Decorations can add holiday cheer to homes, but keep in mind that glass ornaments, tinsel, tree lights, wires, batteries (and even the water for your Christmas tree) can be dangerous to your pets. Consider their safety, and interest level, when decorating.

Susan Marie hosts the national weekly radio show, “The Doggy Diva Show,” and is the author of the award-winning children’s book trilogy, “The Doggy Diva Diaries.” • Flowers and plants. Although poinsettias, holly and mistletoe are festive and beautiful, sadly they can also cause serious health issues and even fatalities in pets. Whether purchasing for yourself or as a gift, before you buy anything, speak with your florist or nursery about pet-safe flowers and plants. Maybe try silk
holiday arrangements that are just as festive as the real thing and they have the advantage of being long-lasting and cost effective. • Holiday food. Healthy pet food and yummy treats like green beans, carrots and apple slices are great choices to have available for your fur kids during holiday celebrations. Human food, including fatty meats, bones, onions, grapes, raisins, chocolate and anything made with xylitol (which can be in candy, gum and baked goods) can be lethal for your pets. • Toys. Pets love toys! Be sure that your pets’ toys are safe and durable enough for serious chewers. They shouldn’t be too hard that they can damage their teeth or too soft and poorly constructed that the stuffing can get scattered everywhere - even in your pet’s tummy. Check for size. If the toy is too small your pet may choke on it. If the toy is too large, they can’t physically play with them. Please be extra careful when making toy selections for your fur kids to

ensure they are fun and safe. As a precaution keep your veterinarian’s contact information on-hand to consult with them regarding your pets’ health during emergencies or if you have any concerns. Keep in mind that it is never recommended to give a pet as a gift. Though it seems like a thoughtful gesture, it is important to remember that a p et is a special member of the family. The adoption process should include the pet parent, who will be sharing a lifetime of unconditional love with their new furever friend. A great gift idea is to make a personal “gift certificate,” and arrange for an adoption day for you and the potential pet parent to visit a shelter or rescue together.
For your holiday gift giving, please consider “paying it forward” to homeless pets by adopting, fostering, volunteering and/or making a donation to your favorite shelter or animal rescue group in someone’s name. There is no need to worry about size or colors, as a donation is a onesize-fits-all gift! If you are unsure where you can donate, search online to find a shelter or rescue organization near you. For over 15 years, Susan Marie has been spreading the word about puppy love through her national weekly radio show, “The Doggy Diva Show.” Susan is also the author of the award-winning Miss Olive children’s book trilogy, “The Doggy Diva Diaries.”

A Place in History
Help support the Marina del Rey Historical Society this holiday season By Sebastian Lipstein arina del Rey is the largest manmade pleasure craft harbor in North America. In 1954, the federal government funded the construction for a boat and recreational harbor in the Ballona Wetlands. Prior to the Marina del Rey that we see today, the area was once wetlands, marshes, and farmland. The land was undeveloped without a clear purpose and infested by mosquitos. This is totally unlike Marina del Rey now, with cyclists, yacht clubs, paddlers, housing complexes, kayakers, rowers, fishermen and pleasure boats. It is an entire community built from scratch. The Marina del Rey Historical Society (MDRHS) was established in 2007 to preserve the little-known history of Marina del Rey. Since 2013, it has been housed in Fisherman’s Village, a recreation of a New England waterfront village. Inside, the

impressive feat of human engineering. There is a Sports Illustrated issue from more than 40 years ago that talks about the beauty of Marina del Rey, and archives of The Argonaut and El Segundo
Herald dating back 50 years. There are artifacts that will be of interest to historians, boat lovers, fishermen, photographers, writers, engineers and everyone else. “One of the reasons we liked having this facility is because a lot of times people think, ‘There must have been a river here and they just dug it out,’” said Willie Hjorth, one of the cofounders of MDRHS and a resident of Marina del Rey since 1964. “No. This was all solid land and Marina del Rey was dug out and man-made. It’s a manmade masterpiece.” Prior to COVID-19, MDRHS used to receive Starlight Tour Buses, group events, and hosted fundraisers with live music and food. However, all of their live events have halted since the pandemic. “Before COVID-19, we used to have tour buses stop by, and bands performed here on Saturday and Sunday,” said
Howard Wenger, president of MDRHS whose father, Greg, was director of photography for the Argonaut for 30 years and the other co-founder of MDRHS. “During the week we used to get up to 10 people and weekends were 50 to 80 people. Now, without the tour buses and live events, we are getting between zero to six people a week and 25 people a weekend.” MDRHS’ current project is the digitization of the Marina’s first boating news magazine, The Dinghy, which records early yacht races information and expanding landside development. Funding is especially needed to complete this important digital preservation process. They have also published their own book, “Marina del Rey (Images of America),” which tells the story of the construction and history of Marina del Rey (Continued on Page 8)

Blue Pacific Yachting celebrates grand reopening in Marina del Rey By Kamala Kirk n celebration of its grand reopening, Blue Pacific Yachting recently hosted a celebration outside of their brand-new office on the waterfront in Marina del Rey. The event included live music, light appetizers and refreshments, tours of the new office, a ribbon cutting with the LAX Coastal Chamber of commerce, a sunset sail, and raffle prizes that included classes, charters and apparel. Blue Pacific Yachting has been in business for over 30 years and was forced to move due to the redevelopment of the county-owned parcels. It is the premier sailing and powerboating school, charter and club. In addition to an array of classes that range from Beginning Sailing to Docking Certification, the company also offers charters for a variety of boats ranging from catamarans to luxury yachts. Blue Pacific Yachting Boating Club Memberships are also available and include special member rates on charters and classes year round, members-only events, use of local yacht club facilities,

Ice creams that are made for my style of entertaining – what I call low lift, high impact. “As in, open a pint of one of our new flavors and serve it in a fancy coupe or footed cup. That’s it. “A few unforgettable bites are all you really need at the end of a big meal or holiday party.” Jeni’s partners with growers, makers and producers who supply it with fresh ingredients to make ice cream that is free of flavorings, chemical dyes and cheap commodity milk. The company is also a Certified B Corporation known for its social, environmental and business leadership. Their ice cream is distributed in grocery stores including Whole Foods, Ralphs and Gelson’s, as well as at their own
scoop shops in and around Los Angeles. “These are the flavors that sort of put the extra in the holiday,” Bauer said. “Like the bow on top of a gift – they’re fun and lively, and truly made for celebrating the season. These are ice creams I want to serve and share with loved ones this time of year.” Jeni’s Splendid Holiday Collection is available for a limited time in shops and online while supplies last. New Santa Monica experience offers intimate look at Princess Diana By Bridgette M. Redman ew people had more ongoing and personal access to Princess Diana than Anwar Hussein, the royal photographer who took thousands of pictures of the people’s princess. “Princess Diana: Accredited Access” opened at Santa Monica Place, where the immersive experience will run through March. Featuring 150 photographs taken by Hussein and his two sons, Zak and Samir, the exhibit features an audio tour narrated by the two sons sharing new stories about Princess Diana and her family. It is what Cliff Skelliter, the planner behind the exhibition, calls a walk-thru documentary. “Originally it didn’t start out that way,” Skelliter said. “But with art and storytelling, you think you are going in one direction and then as you listen and read between the lines, you start to move in the direction that the story brings you in.” “Princess Diana Exhibition: Accredited Access” was created by Fever, an entertainment discovery platform that puts together experiences across the country such as the Los Angelesbased “Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience.” This exhibition designers and planners met with Hussein, who is the longest-running royal photographer. Hussein was born in Tanzania and began his career as a photojournalist. Hired by the United Nations, he took pictures of refugees from the Belgian Congo civil uprising. He moved to England, where he photographed everyone from the homeless to the major rock stars like Elton John, Rod Stewart, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, The Who, Bob Marley and the Sex Pistols. He was also hired as a photographer for many films, including the Bond movies. He then became the official royal photographer, known for capturing more casual moments rather than just formal portraits. “He started sharing stories with us,” Skelliter said. “You realize this is a person the princess is spending so much time with. He was there before Diana became involved in the royal family as a young lady and he’s

The latest exhibition to debut in Santa Monica, “Princess Diana: Accredited Access” by Fever, tells the story of the world’s most loved princess through an intimate new lens. still a royal photographer. They spent a lot of time together. We have utilized these great stories and turned them into an audio guide.” While he said an audio guide sounds standard for an exhibition, theirs is not. They use Hussein’s sons, who were raised with Princes William and Harry, to narrate the stories. “Not only are they telling you the stories of what happened with each photo, they are giving you little biscuits, nice little pieces of stories,” Skelliter said. “If you are a hardcore Day One Diana fan, you’re going to love this. There are things that only Anwar knows. Nobody else knows these things — little exchanges.”
Focusing on Diana’s life Fever began creating the experience in 2019. The pandemic gave Fever time to continue developing it. Skelliter said he had a very surface-level understanding of Diana before he began this project. He was amazed at all the layers that unfolded about her life and personality. “This person is so unbelievably inspiring,” Skelliter said. “She’s been described as when you were around her, when she held your hand, when she hugged you, it felt like you were touched by magic. “Hearing these stories about her,
we said we have to bring this to people so they can experience it on a really deep and intimate level as best as we know how to do.” Skelliter decided he wanted to tell the story as a series of different rooms, each with its own name. “I wanted each room to be like the episode of a television show,” Skelliter said. “You end up with this seven-part TV series that you binge in real time.” The rooms — or episodes — are the Photography Dark Room, Growing, Glam, Crowning Glory, Working Royals, Humanitarian and Unguarded. Each section features photography, art, artifacts and first-hand accounts of the princess. The middle room — Crowning Glory — focuses on the hats and tiaras of Diana, Kate and Meghan. Artist Pauline Loctin, a Quebec sculptor who works with paper, created six sculptures for the exhibit. “We’re calling them monuments,” Skelliter said. “They are so huge so they get their own room. You’re going through the stories, but then you hit Crowning Glory in the middle of it. “This is your little intermission or snack break. It’s a little razzle dazzle, kind of a pause from the stories and now you’re going to get this beautiful music and beautiful abstract pieces. “You’ll look at them and won’t believe they are paper.”
The photography and art exhibition at Santa Monica Place will feature bespoke art installations and larger than life images that take guests on a stunning visual journey narrated by Princess Diana’s longest-standing royal photographer, Anwar Hussein, and his two sons, Zak and Samir.
Hussein was Diana’s confidant Skelliter was hesitant to share the stories about what Anwar knew. He said he wants people to see the exhibit and experience the stories while looking at the pictures and hearing them first-hand. He did offer a bit of a teaser. “There are things Anwar would share with us that nobody really knew,” Skelliter said. “For example, there are these little things about their relationship. She would come to him for advice on things — relationship advice when she was single and dating, cultural advice, or advice on raising children. She went to him and asked him questions. These are the kinds of intimate conversations that Diana had with him.” Hussein was a stand-in fatherly figure for Diana who spent a lot of time with her. He took most of the iconic images of Diana. Some of those images are part of the exhibition, along with unfamiliar ones. Of the 150 images, Skelliter said that 90% of them are printed 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide. “It’s going to be a super visually stimulating, good experience,” Skelliter said. “Seeing these larger-than-life images and getting the story behind it, audiences are going to love seeing the story. They’ll see the transition from this young
lady who didn’t know all the dance moves yet to the princess. They’re going to know some of the story, but they’re going to get new wrinkles, new snippets from Anwar that really demonstrate the story in a way they may not have heard it.”
Available experiences The experiences are available Wednesday to Sundays starting from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and until 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Time slots are available every 15 minutes. All ticket holders are given access to an app so they can walk through the exhibit listening to the voices of the sons telling stories. Standard tickets are $25, while VIP tickets are $37. Discounts are available for children younger than 12, seniors, military and students. VIP ticket holders receive a souvenir book. “The way we approached it, it is not something you throw in the backseat of your car and forget,” Skelliter said. “We want it to be a coffee table book. You’ll feel like you got something you are going to hold on to for the rest of your life.”

Joy on the Water We are so excited to present the 59th Annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade on Saturday, December 11. After we had to modify the parade for 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns, and not knowing whether the 2021 parade was going to happen, our board of directors put together what we think is going to be an incredible parade. Community support is so important for us to put on this parade every year. This year, Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital has stepped up as our presenting sponsor and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner. With all of us getting “back to normal,” we thought it was fitting to honor those who sacrificed so much to get us through the pandemic. In the past we have had the honor of memorable grand marshals like Dick Van Dyke, Ed McMahon, Cloris Leachman and Florence Henderson. This year, we thought it fitting to honor our local heroes, the doctors and nurses, for all they have done for our community. We are honored to have Dr. Steven Krems and Joanne Laguna-Kennedy, both from Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital, to represent our local heroes. Kelly King President Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade
The First Boat Parade
T
housands of people who live in the marina and thousands more from miles around come to the marina to see the annual boat parade in Marina del Rey. But very few remember the first boat parade in Marina del Rey. When that first boat parade circled the marina’s main basin in 1963, there were approximately 100 boats and almost no buildings. Twenty of the hundred boats entered the parade. Margie and Steve Bragg were among the first hundred Marina del Rey boat owners who formed Pioneer Skippers Boat Owners Association. They and the other charter members decided to have a boat parade “because the harbor had nothing at the time,” Margie said. “We thought it was a good idea, and the county was delighted. Our boat parade would advertise the marina when nobody wanted to come here. The marina had just opened and had no breakwater, no nothing except a few docks. And very few boat owners.” “In those days, the surge was so strong that it was frightening,” Margie recalled, referring to the waves of water that would come roaring into the unprotected Marina del Rey harbor, damaging berthed boats. “There were times when it threw boats up on the docks — or threw the docks up in the air and down onto the boats. Sometimes we’d all grab axes we kept handy to cut the dock lines quickly, before our boats were beaten under the docks. Then we’d all anchor out in the middle till it calmed down. We were a very close group and we had dinners ashore and sometimes dinner dances at our home.” “In the beginning, we walked the docks to get parade entries,” Margie said. “We asked for a $2 donation. I remember talking to a man who wanted to enter but he didn’t have any money and I was so anxious to see his boat in the parade that I offered him the $2 entry fee. What fun it was! Everyone chipped in — and worked!” Donations from merchants and hard work by boat owners put the boat parades together. “For the first few years, each parade might have cost us $50 or $60,” Margie said. “In fact, it may have been less. Everything but printing the entry form was done by donation, and the printer gave us a nice low price on the entry forms.” The marina grew from 100 to nearly 6,000 boats since the first few boat parades. In 1964, a detached breakwater was built to solve the surge problems. The first restaurant, Pieces of Eight on Fiji Way, is now Whiskey Red’s. The Christmas Boat Parade is now the Holiday Boat Parade. Along with newcomers who watch this parade for the first time are the many boat owners and crew who have perpetuated our salute to the holidays, Marina del Rey’s annual Holiday Boat Parade.

EASY REWRITER
At a dinner, a woman asked how my husband and I met. He says he spotted me in the campus dining hall, deliberately bumped me and spilled my drink on my tray, and used getting me a refill to ask me out. This never happened. (We met in class, and he asked me out.) What does it mean that he has such faulty recall about the entire origin of our marriage? — Disturbed There is such a thing as “total recall,” and it’s what automakers rush to do after they sell a car that is not only self-driving but self-destructing: dropping parts like breadcrumbs as it tools down the highway. What total recall is not is a feature of the human mind – despite the widely believed myth that memory is a form of mental videotape: faithfully preserving our experiences for playback. Ideal as this would be for spouses with prosecutorial tendencies, our minds are, in fact, hotbeds of fragmented, distorted, partial recall. We create this mess ourselves, simply by remembering – and remembering again. “Using one’s memory shapes one’s memory,” explains psychologist Robert Bjork. Basically, the more we tell a story, the
more we believe it – along with all the embellishments (aka big fat lies) we added to funny it up and otherwise impress (so social situations feel less like reenactments of being picked last for dodgeball). And when I say “we,” I mean me. When I lived in Manhattan, I’d brag about my response to a street-corner flasher: “Looks like a penis – only smaller.” I’m now pretty sure this never happened. I did see an escaped trouser snake or, uh, five on the subway. (New Yorkers think of this as “Tuesday.”) That was probably my sourdough starter for the cleverbrag I trotted out endlessly at parties – till I was snidely informed that my “original” circa mid-’90s line appeared in the 1978 movie “Bloodbrothers.” Consider that your husband’s memory might not be the only one that’s been, um, redecorated. Also consider (see my cleverbrag above) that we tend to “remember” events in self-serving ways. Any guy can ask a girl out after class, but in your husband’s version, he goes on a mini-quest to get a date with you. Not exactly the stuff Sir Lancelot was made of, but modern men must make do with the heroics available to them: “I won her love – after a bloody battle with a cafeteria tray and a glass of 2% milk.”
THE INCREDIBLE SULK
I hang with friends about twice weekly and also like my alone time. The guy I’m seeing not only wants to be together constantly but seems to need that. He’s upset and anxious on nights I’m not with him. The first time I said I couldn’t get together, he was annoyed. He now complains I’m “dependent on” my friends, meaning unhealthily. He claims a great relationship is two people who are always together (a la “you complete me”). I don’t want to hurt him, but I won’t give up my friends or myself for a relationship, and I don’t know how to tell him. — Conflicted
Dating sites work very hard to be inclusive in the type-of-partner options they list – “man seeking woman,” “man seeking man,” and even “man-seeking genderbeige” – yet they omit a checkbox for “man seeking hostage.” That appears to be the model for your man’s ideal relationship (as an adult who gets “upset and anxious” on nights his boo’s away). Though he paints his longing for nonstop togetherness as the height of romance, his “You complete me!” is not so much a romantic declaration as an accidental disclosure of extreme neediness. It also
makes him a poor match for any woman whose relationship goals are best summed up as: togetherness, yes; conjoined, no. As a woman, you’re likely on the high end of the spectrum of a personality trait called “agreeableness.” On a positive note, this plays out in being “kind, considerate, likable, cooperative, (and) helpful,” reports psychologist William Graziano. On a less positive note, it often leads to prioritizing these lovely behaviors over one’s own needs. A personality trait is not a behavioral mandate. You can shift out of auto“pleaser” mode by pre-planning to assert yourself – “Here’s what I need!” – and then doing it, no matter how uncomfortable it feels at first. The more you do it, the more natural (and even rewarding!) it’ll feel – till your default position becomes standing up for yourself instead of rolling over for everybody else. Guesstimate how much weekly togetherness and apartness works for you, and make it clear to men you date – starting by informing your current guy that your social world will continue to extend beyond being his human binky. In short, the sort of relationship that works for you is one in which you’re bonded but not zip-tied.

‘Very few people have ever actually saw one of these rarely seen Silver Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars minted over 50 years ago. But to actually find them sealed away in State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls is like finding buried treasure. So anyone lucky enough to get their hands on these Bank Rolls had better hold on to them,’” Lynne said. “Now that the State of California Restricted Silver Bank Rolls are being offered up we won’t be surprised if thousands of California residents claim the maximum limit allowed of 6 Kennedy Presidential Silver Bank Rolls per resident before they’re all gone,” said Lynne. “That’s because the dates and mint marks of the U.S. Gov’t issued Silver clad Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars sealed away inside the State of California Restricted Silver Bank Rolls have never been searched. But, we do know that these coins date back tot he mid 1900’s and some may be worth up to 60 times their face value, so there is no telling what California residents will find until they sort through all the coins,” Lynne went on to say. “Rarely seen silver coins like these are highly sought after, but we’ve never seen anything like this before. According to The Official Red Book, a Guide Book of United States Coins many Silver Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars have nearly doubled in collector value in just the last several years,” Lynne said. “We’re guessing thousands of California residents will be taking the maximum limit of 6 Bank Rolls because you can only get them rolled this way directly from the National Mint and Treasury and they are the only State Restricted Bank Rolls known to exist,” Lynne continued. “We know the phones will be ringing off the hook. So make sure to tell everyone to keep calling if all lines are busy. We’ll do our best to answer them all,” Lynne said. The only thing readers of today’s newspaper publication need to do is make sure they are a resident of the state of California and call the National Toll-Free Hotlines before the 2-day deadline ends midnight tomorrow. ■
Answering Your Questions Q: How to claim the last State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls A: If you are a California resident read the important information below about claiming the State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls, then call the State TollFree Hotline at: 1-800-233-5658 EXT: JFR1371 beginning at precisely 8:30 A.M. this morning.
Q: Are these Silver Kennedy Half Dollars worth more than other Half Dollars?
A: Yes. These rarely seen Silver Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars were minted in the mid 1900’s. That makes these silver coins extremely collectible. The vast majority of half dollars minted after 1970 have no silver content at all. In fact, these Kenndy Presidential Half Dollars were the last silver coins minted for circulation. That’s why many of them now command collector values of many times their face value so there’s no telling how much they could be worth in collector value someday.
Q: How much are the State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls worth?
A: It’s impossible to say, but these Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars date back to the mid 1900’s and some are worth up to 60 times the face value and there are 20 in each Bank Roll so you better hurry if you want to get your hands on them. Collector values always fluctuate and there are never any guarantees. But we do know they are the only California State Silver Bank Rolls known to exist and Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars are highly collectible so anyone lucky enough to get their hands on these State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls should hold onto them because there’s no telling how much they could be worth in collector value someday.
Q: Why are so many California residents calling to get them?
A: Because they are the only State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls known to exist and everyone wants their share. These are not ordinary bank rolls. These are full Bank Rolls containing 20 Silver Kennedy Presidential Half Dollars dating clear back to the mid 1900’s some worth up to 60 times their face value. Remember this. Only California residents are guaranteed to get them for just the $19 per coin state minimum set by the National Mint and Treasury for the next two days. Non state residents must pay $57 per coin.
Q: How do I get the State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls?
A: The only thing California residents need to do is call the State Toll Free Hotline at 1-800-233-5658 Ext. JFR1371 before the deadline ends. Everyone who does is getting the only State Restricted Silver Bank Rolls known to exist. That’s a full Bank Roll of 20 Silver Kenndy Presidential Half Dollars for just the $19 per coin state minimum set by the National Mint and Treasury, which totals just $380 for the full Bank Roll. That’s a real steal because non state residents are not permitted to call before 5 pm tomorrow and must pay $1,140 for each California State Restricted Silver Bank Roll if any remain.
