Following their example, he earned his Bachelor of Science in secondary education and social studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead; he obtained his master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University as he began his teaching career. Barky is rooted partly in Liberty Arts Academy’s focus on excellence. The mascot arrived at the school four years ago, according to school leader Brady Wald; is based on the school’s mantra “Brave Attentive Responsible and Kind (or BARK) to Excellence” and is part of its effort to provide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. “BARKY helps to support this model throughout the school year at events and celebrations,” Wald said. As for who’s behind that fur, he said, “It depends on who is up to wearing the costume. It is usually a student who participates.”

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools in Chandler provides year-round swimming lessons for kids of all ages, including swim lessons for babies and toddlers. Its world-renowned swimming instruction and “safety first, fun every second” approach features water safety certified swim instructors, a family-friendly environment, and a state-of-the-art facility with a comfortable 90-degree pool.
