The Marana Pumpkin Patch takes visitors into days of the past, with 50 acres of locally grown pumpkins. Serving the area since 1985, Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona Marana Resource Center is part of a larger network of food banks through Feeding America. The vision for the food bank was shaped by Ora Mae Harn, the Rev. Al Hoagland and Thelma Tanner, who wanted to help farmer workers and homeless individuals in Marana and surrounding communities. Each month, the organization distributes close to 90,000 pounds of food to around 1,200 local families. The food bank serves residents in Marana, Avra Valley, Picture Rocks and the Oro Valley area, although they will work with anyone in Pima County.
