Ken backed away to give our beloved sister privacy, as she mainly was undressed. It looked like she’d been getting ready to go to work. We called 911, and Ken was still in denial, saying, “It doesn’t look good, but maybe she can be resuscitated.” I yelled, “She’s dead; she’s been so for a while.” I had no filters for gentling the experience for him, as I’d felt how cold she was. I have never found a loved one dead before. I’m writing about it now because I think most people want to know “what happened.” Some are too shy to ask; very few come right out and ask. Climate change impacts people with disabilities

F

By Gabriel Griffith Pasadena Weekly Guest Writer

rom extreme heat and destructive wildfires to severe droughts, human-induced weather events have become a daily fixture of life today in California and beyond. But despite Mother Earth’s warning signs, the gap between what we should do to reduce the impacts of climate change and what actions we are actually taking is wide — and getting wider. However, these natural disasters do not play out in a vacuum. During climate-related emergencies, disabled people might be disproportionally affected because of structural challenges inherent in our community. Taking its toll As we have seen in recent years, wildfires can start and rapidly spread with little warning. Evacuation orders may come too late, especially for those with additional mobility considerations. Even excessively hot days can be life threatening, with a variety of conditions such as spinal injuries making it difficult for the body to regulate temperature. Social factors, too, are a consideration here, given that residents with disabilities are more likely to experience poverty or inadequate housing that may not have air conditioning. Compromised health also makes disabled people more vulnerable to extreme climate events, ecosystem service loss or infectious diseases. In a climate emergency, disabled people may be more vulnerable to contracting infectious diseases because of underlying conditions. For example, Hurricane Katrina was found to disproportionately impact more than 100,000 people with disabilities ranging from visual and physical impairments to learning disabilities. Even in non-extreme events, like air pollution, health can be compromised in the long term, especially for vulnerable populations. Despite the current gap, our state is working to make important progress in fighting climate change. Progress starts with using more clean energy resources. Harnessing solar and wind capabilities will only become more imperative over time, but most people use more energy at home in the evenings, which is the same time that the availability of these clean energy sources become limited. As part of California Council of the Blind, we are steadfast in working with our chapters across the state to bring awareness to using cleaner energy. The state’s electrical grid is increasingly powered by clean, renewable sources of energy — when the sun is out, and the wind is blowing. However, the challenge remains in the late afternoon and evening, when demand for energy peaks. Between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., electricity is more likely to be produced by carbon-intensive energy sources, emitting greenhouse gases. We need to understand that when we use electricity does matter — not just how much electricity we use. Los Angeles County has begun to undergo a transition to a new rate plan which encourages use of cleaner energy. This transition is happening statewide to help Californians have more control of when they use energy. Our team is being asked about how to do household chores, make dinner, help children with homework — all activities that happen between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. It’s important for everyone to hear this. The state is not asking Californians to not use energy, change their lifestyles or turn their schedules upside down. Instead, it encourages Californians to shift use to parts of the day when electricity from renewable resources (such as solar and wind) is more readily available. When making dinner, turn off the TV in the living room. Think about ways to shift laundry to the morning. With extreme weather events and disasters set to increase in a warming climate, it is vital that the disabled population be taken into consideration. In the conversation around the shift to use cleaner energy because they are impacted even more. The coming years will be defining – deferring ambition and action is no longer an option. Together, we can close the gap between “should do” and real action. For information, visit energyupgradeca.org. Gabriel Griffith is the president of the California Council of the Blind (CCB), having also served as the organization’s vice president and, prior to that, as a technical support representative at HumanWare. Through CCB’s office in Sacramento and its 40 local chapters and statewide special interest associations, the council provides information and referral, technical assistance, advocacy, leadership development, publications, emergency funds, accessible technology loans, and scholarships.

Corporate greed, not inflation Editor: Higher prices are the result of corporate greed and their decision to take advantage of their power in an uncompetitive market while workers, farmers, ranchers and our economy suffer. Twenty million Americans lost their job in the pandemic, and roughly 650 billionaires in America saw their net worth increase by more than $1 trillion. Total American billionaire wealth stands at $4.6 trillion. Just how much of a ride are the American people supposed to take when two-thirds of publicly traded companies show larger profit margins compared to 2019. In fact, Wall Street Journal reports over 100 companies saw profit over 50% compared to 2019. “Billionaires have seen their wealth go up by $1.8 trillion,” President Biden said, referring to a report from Americans for Tax Fairness and the Institute for Policy Studies. “It’s simply not fair.” And Joe Manchin votes “no” to child credits. Americans, Biden’s Build Back Better bill lowers out of pocket costs for all Americans for child and senior care, housing, college, health care and prescription drugs, and the wealthy are against it. Couple publishes ‘the greatest college health guide’ By Annika Tomlin Pasadena Weekly Staff Writer

et’s be honest, college is hard on everyone, and sometimes a little help can go a long way. Dave Henry and his wife, Jill, as Flintridge Prep high school football and cross-country coaches, respectively, wanted their senior players to be prepared for the future. As a result, they published “The Greatest College Health Guide You Never Knew You Needed.” “This all started because one of my athletes, who was a senior at the time, didn’t do any other sport other than cross-country,” Jill said. “At the last meet of the season, she came up to me with tears in her eyes and asked, ‘Coach, how do I not get fat in college?’” Immediately touched by the impact of a connection that the Henrys have made with their students, they knew that they had to provide them with answers to their questions. Questions included the freshman 15, how to manage stress, sleep and drinking, not to mention an array of other topics. “Initially we thought we would try and find a book or find her resources and put them together, and we couldn’t find anything that had good information but that was also something that she would want to read,” Jill said. “We started talking to the rest of the seniors about it, and we were like, there is a ton of information out there. It’s just not packaged in a way that you would want to read. If we were going to put this together, it would require us to write a book.” They did just that. The book came out as the seniors who started the conversation were graduating college, but the information is still relevant. At the time the duo was writing the book, Dave had stepped down from coaching and was taking care of their first child. “We had a 6-month-old baby at the moment, so taking on a project like that seemed significant,” Dave said. “Once we decided we were going to do it, ultimately we had to answer the question: How do we give these kids everything that they need in order to learn how to take care of themselves and also package it in a way that it’s entertaining enough that a 19- to 24-year-old is actually going to read this? It was about a year and change to have the manuscript in pretty good shape, and then we started approaching publishers.” It would be another year before the couple signed with Sky Horse and then an additional two years before the book was published in June. “The thing that took the most amount of time was once we cracked the formula for the book, which is essentially our own experience to get into these topics, whether it is booze or stress, and then weaving in information that is practical that will show you how to implement this stuff into your life with the student responses,” Dave said. “We got over 100 quotes from students around the country.” Initially the couple started with students that they formerly coached that were in college at the time of writing, and that snowballed. Responses came from students at UCLA all the way to NYU. “It helped provide a much better communal understanding of we are all in this together. It’s hard, and everybody struggles with something,” Dave said. “It’s absolutely OK when you struggle with something. Here are things that everybody has done in order to try and feel better when they are not feeling great.” Jill and Dave at first received pushback from publishers when they pitched their idea as a book rather than a YouTube series or other platforms. “I think at multiple points we were questioned about why we did that,” Jill said. “I think what we like about the fact that it is a book is that all this information is out there but it lacks a consolidation in the way that this book provides and it also lacks a consistent voice. “Just something about the physical object of having it and holding it and having a resource that you can highlight and go back to that we really liked. I’m sure there are apps with this in it, but I think that having the narrative that you can kind of sit

“The Greatest College Health Guide You Never Knew You Needed” has many topics. down and be like you are learning this stuff in a digestible way where you are almost surprised you are done reading it.” Whether it is a soon-to-be college student reading the guide or a grandparent learning new information, the Henrys hope that their book provides hope for people who “are not feeling great about something.” “When you are in that moment of like ‘ugh,’ whether you are lonely, whether you haven’t been sleeping enough, whatever the root cause is, it’s difficult at home to be like, ‘Oh, I just need to Google all of these peer reviews and find the right thing,’” Dave said. “When you are in that place of feeling down, trying to find the right thing to make you feel better and is simple isn’t always a question that you like asking.” Dave brought up how a good amount of those searches end up “watching a video on cats again” but that the consolidated book is an easier go-to than scavenging the internet. The Henrys discussed a variety of topics, from drinking to sleep and how not to gain the freshman 15, and ultimately had clear hard topics to cover while also having more interesting and fun ones as well. “Writing about consent in a way that we can make sure that everybody who reads this understands that it’s not about somebody’s fault for drinking too much, it’s about our entire collective responsibility for making sure that when we are with our friends that we have got an eye on what is going on,” Dave said about one of the harder topics to write about. “The only way that we can make tangible progress on some of these complicated issues is if the conversation is upfront. If we’re all using the same vocabulary and if we all understand that it is on us, the burden to make sure that these things that are very tragic, they don’t have to be as prevalent as they are.” On the flip side, Jill “loved to write about sleep and activity hacks,” having her background be in the physical and health education sphere. “Sleep was one of the areas that I was really surprised about a lot of what we learned,” Jill said. “I think you take sleep for granted that if you just get eight hours a night it sort of works and you just let that guide you and try and keep that uncomplicated.” Jill found that there is much more to sleep than just getting eight hours of shut-eye. Overall, the couple hopes that anyone who reads the book feels “no judgment.” “We are trying to give people the information out and can hatch from it,” Jill said. “You can take whatever you see in here at whatever point in your life. That was what I was really excited about, because that is not part of the pop narrative, is ‘how do you sleep and what do you need to know about sleep to make sure that you are doing it in a healthy way?’” Five months into the release of their book and the couple is hopeful to be able to create other additions to the guide. “Definitely our plan is to keep updating those quotes, because we want to include a larger diversity of voices and represent more schools,” Jill said. “There’s always new content we want to add. Even since this came out we’ve had people reach out to us and been like, ‘Have you thought about adding this and this?’ We are keeping the running list so that hopefully if we get the opportunity to release another edition, we can just keep adding it — fingers crossed.” To learn more about the Henrys or to purchase the book, go to greatestcollegehealthguide.com. 01.06.22 | PASADENA WEEKLY 7

Jocelyn Ferguson has been appointed as the new chief development officer at HMRI.

Jocelyn Ferguson is HMRI’s first chief development officer t a crucial time when personal health and well-being is paramount, Huntington Medical Research Institutes appointed Jocelyn Ferguson as its chief development officer. The newly established position will see Ferguson collaborate with the Pasadena-based biomedical research organization’s senior leadership team, board of directors, and staff to build out its development and communications programs in support of HMRI’s mission. “Guided by our mission of ‘improving lives through patient-focused scientific research,’ one of the things I want to accomplish is to fully integrate our development, community engagement and communications to create meaningful connections with our community that foster pride in our mission and philanthropic support to accelerate our research,” Ferguson explains. “The three primary areas of research at HMRI are neurosciences, neurovascular and cardiovascular research. HMRI has been doing a brain aging study for the past 20 years, researching Alzheimer’s disease. I think so many of us have either family members or friends who are impacted by Alzheimer’s, so trying to better understand this progressive and irreversible disease and its risk factors can impact our community. For cardiovascular research, one aim is to reduce the size of heart attacks in an effort to increase a person’s chances of survival. The research in both of these areas is something I believe will directly benefit our community here in Pasadena.” As a veteran philanthropy professional, Ferguson brings to HMRI almost 20 years of extensive fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on biomedical research, health care and higher education. Recently, she worked with City of Hope, a not-for-profit biomedical research and medical center in Duarte. “We are delighted to welcome Jocelyn to our team as CDO,” said Dr. Julia E. Bradsher, president and CEO of HMRI. “Jocelyn’s leadership and proven track record in developing fundraising programs that advance biomedical research, patient care, community health programs, higher education and first-generation college student programs — combined with her passion for everything HMRI does and stands for — make her a perfect match for the role and an invaluable asset as we continue laying the strategic tracks for our future growth and impact.” In addition to HMRI’s research, Ferguson was drawn to the organization because of its commitment toward educational programs. “Two of my passions are higher education and health care, and I believe that everyone deserves access to highly skilled health care, as well as excellent educational opportunities,” Ferguson said. Ferguson is excited about HMRI’s summer educational programs, when the organization will host its undergraduate research fellowship program as well as its high school STEM program. The latter is open to students in the Pasadena Unified School District, while students in its postdoctoral fellowship program continue to advance their scientific

research conducted throughout the year. “It’s exciting that we are working to inspire the next generation of scientists and physicians,” Ferguson said. Ferguson’s own higher educational background began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from the University of Washington in Seattle before she attended a Ph.D. program in the same discipline at the University of California at Berkeley. Though she has a strong love for the arts, Ferguson has been passionate about health care since she was a child visiting her father at work during his time as an oral surgeon, dentist and orthodontist in the U.S. Air Force. “From the time I was a little girl, I visited my late father at his office at a hospital or in clinic,” Ferguson explained. “While in the Air Force, my father had an extensive service population spanning several countries, and he was also involved with the University of Washington School of Dentistry for many years. Those experiences, along with my health care philanthropy, shaped my life and make me feel very comfortable in a medical environment.” Outside of work, her love for art and art history drew her to the museums and galleries of Pasadena, particularly the Norton Simon Museum. She also serves on the board of the Junior League of Pasadena, whose goal is to promote and perpetuate social change by providing valuable leadership training and empowering women. “Before my father passed, he said, ‘I know your heart is in California, and you have my blessing if you want to return to California,’” Ferguson recalled. “He said, ‘You’re a terrific fundraiser. You should go and do what you love in the place where you love.’ And that’s how I landed here in Southern California. “Several years ago, I was fundraising in the performing arts, and I made a very conscious decision to transition into higher education and health care philanthropy, which are very near and dear to my heart. I believe in the power of philanthropy to change lives. A $2 million philanthropic investment can accelerate our cardiovascular research, leading to breakthrough discoveries impacting millions of people, while a $25,000 gift can fund four undergraduate students in our summer research fellowship program and help to launch the career of a future scientist. For me to be in this position now, I am living out one of my passions, which is to accelerate scientific discoveries via philanthropic investments and see how those innovations are made accessible to people and impact their lives.” Looking to the future, Ferguson aspires to use her wealth of leadership, fundraising and donor relations expertise to support the mission of HMRI.

wenty-four floats were honored in the 133rd Rose Parade, presented by Honda. These awards recognize excellence in a variety of categories and specifications. The UPS Store made its fifth appearance in the parade and took home the prize for its “Rise, Shine & Read!” float, which aims to inspire children to rise up and let themselves shine through the transformative power of literacy. The Sweepstakes Award is presented to floats for the most beautiful entry, encompassing float design, floral presentation and entertainment. This is the third year that the UPS Store won the parade’s prestigious top prize. This year, as the official literacy sponsor of the 133rd annual Rose Parade, the UPS Store partnered with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and Pasadena Tournament of Roses to donate and distribute 14,000 books to all elementary students in the Pasadena Unified School District and to give away 10,000 books. Michelle Van Slyke, senior vice president of marketing and sales of the UPS Store, attended the last four Rose Bowls but took a different approach this year. “I wanted to be in my PJs watching it on television,” said Van Slyke, whose float was designed by Charles Meier Fiesta Floats. “I had a number of texts coming in. It was a lot of fun. “We’re just so happy. We were trying to get the message out about the importance of literacy. We wanted to capture everyone’s attention and bring that imagination to life.” Other winners were: • The Wright Legacy Prize: Louisiana Travel. The prize honors the most outstanding display of floral presentation, float design and entertainment. It featured a performance by “American Idol” winner Laine Hardy. • The Present’s award went to Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day for its outstanding use and presentation of flowers. • Donate Life was the most extraordinary float for the Extraordinaire prize. • AIDS Healthcare Foundation was given the Queen award, which honors the most outstanding presentation of roses. • RFD-TV/Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom was the Director award winner, the most outstanding artistic design and use of floral and nonfloral materials. • The city of Torrance was honored with the Princess prize — the most outstanding floral presentation among entries 35 feet and longer in length. • Kaiser Permanente won best theme, the most outstanding presentation of the Rose Parade theme. • Sierra Madre Rose Float Association was the judges’ favorite — most outstanding float design and dramatic impact. • The city of Alhambra was honored for its outstanding floral presentation of the Rose Parade theme among floats 35 feet and under in length. ew technological advancements have paved the way for groundbreaking surgical innovation, as modern technologies shape the future of orthopedic surgery. Dr. Paul Gilbert, an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at USC’s Keck Medical School, will speak on “Computers and Technology in Orthopedic Surgery” to the USC Trojan Affiliates at a private home in San Marino on Thursday, Jan. 13. As a specialist in hip and knee replacement and preservation, Gilbert has performed thousands of joint replacements over the past 20 years while pioneering computer navigation, minimally invasive techniques and advanced pain management programs. His fascination with the use of computer technology in surgery and the benefit of sophisticated instruments for procedural accuracy has led Gilbert to adopt robotics for his partial knee replacements and use computer navigation in over 500 joint replacement procedures. Gilbert earned his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine and went on to complete his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. He is currently board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Gilbert will present his insights to the USC Trojan Affiliates, a women’s organization located in the San Gabriel Valley that supports the University of Southern California and welcomes all interested women and men to attend its meetings and events. The organization is in its sixth year of contributing money to its first scholarship endowment fund of $100,000 to support its scholars. Its members also volunteer at the Pasadena Showcase House to earn funds and participate in the USC SCupper, USC Day of SCervice, USC Homecoming, and other programs in support of the university and its students. rafters and jewelry fans can meet with artists and merchants and take classes during the Pasadena Bead & Design Show from Friday, Jan. 7, to Sunday, Jan. 9, at the Hilton Pasadena. Attendees can peruse the wares of renowned artists, artisans and tradespeople. Items include hand-printed fabrics, hand-sewn clothing, handcrafted beads, jewelry, antique beads and ancient findings. Workshops in jewelry-making techniques and skills are offered throughout the show. Participants can try their hand at wire work, collage, painting, art decor, art clay and chainmaille. Early workshop registration is recommended to reserve a spot for the classes. Founder Casey Kennerson and her mother, Anna Johnson, have been hosting the shows since 2008. “We were in the jewelry business and selling wholesale,” Kennerson said. “We were part of the California Gift Show, and we felt like we weren’t treated well. “These shows were all about the big manufacturers, and there was nothing for the artisans and the local people. We wanted something that really showcases our work, so we started our own shows.” Since then, Kennerson said, the California Gift Show closed, while the Pasadena

Bead & Design Show has flourished. The show fills all of the hotel ballrooms and the location encourages patrons to dine in the facility’s restaurants. “It’s also a great way to be out there and socialize with other like-minded individuals in the artisan world and learn how to make your own jewelry,” she said. “We’re open for anyone to come and have a good experience, whether you’re looking for artisan products to buy, clothing, jewelry, handbags — pretty much everything wearable.” The Pasadena Bead & Design Show goes beyond its namesake hobbies. Patrons can peruse clothing, learn how to paint and watch woodworkers. “We wanted to bring in more artisans,” she said. “If you’re into the jewelry and the wearables, you’re probably interested in decorating your home, too.”

Hsu. 12. Plaintiff and his associates have performed legal services pursuant to that Contract and have not been paid the outstanding invoice of $44,727.91, which is the sum of $122,285.22 in legal fees minus $69,267.55 awarded to Plaintiff as extraordinary fees by the Probate Court, minus 20 $3,592.01 awarded to Plaintiff as reimbursement of attorney costs by the Probate Court, minus $4,697.75 returned to Plaintiff by Defendant's appellate counsel. By not paying as agreed, Defendant has breached the Contract and thereby 26 proximately caused Plaintiffs damages. 15. Defendant's breach is without legal excuse or justification. 16. As a result of Defendant's breach, Plaintiff has suffered damages in an amount to be proven at trial-at a minimum, $44,727.91. SECOND CAUSE OF ACTION Quantum Meruit 17. Plaintiff re-alleges and incorporates by reference herein all the allegations set forth in Paragraphs 1 through 16, inclusive. 18. In the alternative to the first cause of action for breach of contract, Plaintiff seeks a 7 recovery of the reasonable value of his services under Business and Professions Code § § 6148( c), 6148(d)(2), and 6148(d)(4). 19. Plaintiff acted pursuant to an explicit request for services by the Defendant, as set forth in the Contract. Namely, Defendant engaged Plaintiff to perform legal services for Defendant. 20. The legal services performed by Plaintiff conferred a benefit on the Defendant. Specifically, Plaintiff was able to successfully defend a lawsuit brought against Defendant after performing much more than one-hundred hours of legal work. Most of Plaintiffs arguments were adopted by the jury and the trial court in that case. The few that weren't, were later fully adopted by the appellate court which overturned the erroneous judgment entered by the jury and the trial court against Defendant in that case resulting in a subsequent judgment in favor of Defendant entered by the trial court pursuant to the appellate court's final order. 21. As such, Plaintiff is entitled to a recovery of the reasonable value of his services in an 19 amount to be determined according to proof at trial, but not less than $44,727.91. THIRD CAUSE OF ACTION Open Book Account 22. Plaintiff re-alleges and incorporates by reference herein all the allegations set forth in 23 Paragraphs 1 through 21, inclusive. 23. Within four (4) years prior to the commencement of this action in Los Angeles, California, Defendant became indebted to Plaintiff on a written open book account in the sum of approximately $44,727.91. 24. Said sum of $44,727.91 accrued as a result of financial transactions between Plaintiff and Defendant which contemplated the legal services provided by Plaintiff. 25. Plaintiff kept an account of the debts and credits that accrued from the transactions, which were reflected in invoices Plaintiff provided to Defendant. 26. The final invoice reflects that Defendant owes Plaintiff money on the account in the minimum amount of$44,727.91. 27. As such, Plaintiff is entitled to recover the amount owed on the open book account, according to proof at trial. FOURTH CAUSE OF ACTION Account Stated 28. No part ofthe sum of$44,727.91 has been repaid by the Defendant, although repeated 15 demands have been made by

reflected in invoices Plaintiff provided to Defendant. Plaintiff re-alleges and incorporates by reference herein all the allegations set forth in Paragraphs 1 through 27, inclusive. 29. Within four (4) years prior to the commencement of this action in Los Angeles, California, an account was stated in writing by and between Plaintiff and Defendant, wherein it was 13 agreed that Defendant was indebted to Plaintiff in the sum of approximately $44,727.91. 30. No part ofthe sum of$44,727.91 has been repaid by the Defendant, although repeated 15 demands have been made by Plaintiff, and there is now due, owing, and unpaid from Defendant to Plaintiff the sum of at least $44,727.91, according to proof at trial. 31. As explained in detail above, there were previous transactions between the parties, 18 related to Plaintiffs performance of legal services for Defendant, establishing the relationship of 19 debtor and creditor. 32. The Contract between the parties is an express agreement which, in connection with 21 the invoices supplied to Defendant, sets forth the amount due from the Defendant to the Plaintiff. 33. Defendant expressly promised to pay the amount due in the Contract. 34. As such, Plaintiff is entitled to recover the amount owed on the account stated, according to proof at trial. FIFTH CAUSE OF ACTION Unjust Enrichment 35. Plaintiff re-alleges and incorporates by reference herein all the allegations set forth in Paragraphs 1 through 34, inclusive. 36. Plaintiff performed legal services, valued by the Contract at approximately $44,727.91, in good faith. 37. Defendant sought and accepted the legal services, thus receiving a benefit. Specifically, Plaintiff was able to successfully defend a lawsuit brought against Defendant after 5 performing much more than one-hundred hours of legal work. 38. Plaintiff reasonably expected to be compensated for the legal services provided, according to the terms of the Contract. 39. Defendant refused and continues to refuse to compensate Plaintiff for the performance of legal services, according to the terms of the Contract. 40. Thus, Defendant was unjustly enriched, in the amount of approximately $44,727.91, at the expense of Plaintiff. 41. As such, Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendant in the amount of at least $44,727.91, the reasonable value of the services, the precise amount to be determined according to proof at trial. WHEREFORE, Plaintiff demands judgment against the defendants for the following: AS TO ALL CAUSES OF ACTION: 1. Compensatory damages in an amount according to proof at trial, but at least $44,727.91; 2. For other general damages according to proof at trial; 3. Costs of suit; and 4. Any other and further relief that the Court considers proper. DATED: May 10,2021 LAW OFFICES OF ROGER C. HSU Roger C. Hsu, Esq. Gurgen Sargsyan, Esq. Attorneys for Plaintiff, LAW OFFICES OF ROGER C.
