After celebrating the event’s quarter of a century last year, the Western Maricopa Coalition (WESTMARC) is gearing up for the return of its annual awards dinner. The 26th annual Best of the West Awards Dinner is set from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at State Farm Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive, Glendale. WESTMARC President and CEO Sintra Hoffman is hoping for big things this year. “Last year we had about 550 people. The year before we had just about 400,” Hoffman said. “Our goal is to keep growing the event, obviously. So, I don’t know, the goal is like 600.” During the primary portion of the event, individuals will be recognized in categories such as Economic Engine, Quality of Life Enhancement (with subcategories in Community and Education) and Excellence in Innovation. Economic Engine finalists are ISM Raceway and the city of Surprise Rail-

Winners will be revealed November 15.
