Policy does not create meaningful change, people do There is not a simple formula to follow, but there are principles that lead to success Working with staff on this will be difficult – but can create meaningful change Primary function of a building leader is to create and support individual growth. This is how: o Defined Expectations (Danielson & Building Norms) o Confront the brutal facts o Accountability without support is damaging o Build capacity o Lose the popularity contest o Evaluation is constant
