Construction in our family dates back to 1913. Â

How it began . . . With an early interest in art, wood and architecture - a lifetime career in homebuilding was a clear path for Tim Hine. Before the age of 15, he was building a finished basement in his family’s home. As a high school student - instead of building the routine cutting board during shop class - he crafted an18-foot cedar strip and fiberglass canoe. Tim's first experience with home building was as a laborer pulling bent nails out of boards, stacking lumber and completing punch lists for new homes. He spent the ensuing summers in high school and college as a member of a framing crew for a production home builder.

In 1989 Tim established a home remodeling business that specialized in designing and building additions and remodeling projects for clients in Connecticut's Farmington River Valley. Wearing a tool-belt during the day and drafting blueprints at night, Tim made this promise to prospective clients: "The home you have always wanted . . . could be the one you already own." After 11 years and over 100 projects, Tim hung up his tool belt for the opportunity to use his management skills in high-end residential work in Fairfield and Litchfield Counties.
