"Come quick, come inside!" I heard someone yelling from inside. Her trembling voice made me rush to get inside; I was the last to enter. But seeing the looks on my I took my eyes off friend’s faces, I the TV for what didn't need to see seemed to be a the television to second, but when I know it wasn't glanced back at it I good news. I saw the only tower shuffled to the TV, remaining starting to I pushed through crumble. Another everyone and plane had flown into kneeled down it. It was as if they making sure I had just replayed the wasn't blocking previous crash, the anyone sitting plane had the same behind me. I effect, glass, fire, focused on the smoke. Fire was screen. Glass surrounding the shattering falling whole tower. Bodies from the sky and were dropping from tons of smoke the tower. Rather forming around than burning people what remained of had chosen to jump the first tower. off.

As both towers collapsed more news were coming, another plane had hit the pentagon and another crashed in Pennsylvania. All this was overwhelming. Everyone was panicking. I couldn't believe what I had just seen; my eyes remained glued to the screen. I looked at the people around me. Some of them had tears streaming down their faces, others just stood still completely shocked from the tragic event we had just seen unfold on the TV.

Others were in denial and whispered, "This can't be true, It's like a movie." My mind was racing with questions. The TV went black, we all stood there for a while waiting for something to happen.

I could have experienced it personally. My point of view and thinking on safety all over the world had changed that day.

Dust and rubble from the debris of the World Trade Center following the attacks

The whole ride home I dreaded having to turn the TV back on. My day had turned upside down. I slowly realized it could've been me standing there watching it happen before my eyes, I was in New York just a week before this disaster happened.
