A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
UK LAW:
Located on UK’s main campus in Lexington, UK Law is large enough for a diverse curriculum, yet small enough to foster relationships and community. Founded in 1908, UK Law has been approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) since 1925 and was elected to the Order of the Coif, the most prestigious national legal honorary society, in 1931.

Two of UK Law’s major strengths are the outstanding quality of the faculty and their dedication to excellent teaching. UK Law has strong traditions of open doors, faculty-student interaction, and faculty concern about students’ progress and success. The faculty teaching first-year courses are particularly interested in meeting with students outside of class to help them make a successful transition to law school. UK’s teaching faculty represents a variety of educational backgrounds. Their combined experience includes many years of work in major law firms, public interest programs, and clerking for state and federal judges before selecting teaching careers.
