FENDELS Fendels is situated at 1,356 m above sea level and offers countless opportunities for young and old alike. It’s the ideal starting point for fabulous hikes at all degrees of difficulty, e.g. the Fallenden Bach stream and Anton-Renk mountain hut.

KAUNS The village of Kauns is an excellent starting point for numerous hikes such as the peaks of the Aifner Spitze and the Piller Höhe, as well as the Falpaus area. Kauns is very popular thanks to its mild and pleasant climate.

HOLDERLI-SEPPL VIA FERRATA Along the cascades of the Rifflerbach waterfall, the Holderi-Seppl via ferrata extends above the Fernergries high valley. Surrounded by stone pine trees and close to the roaring stream, we’ll explore this mountain landscape once covered by glacial ice. EXPLORE THE GALLRUTH TUNNEL In the past, the tunnel was used to bring water to the Kaunerberg mountainside. Today, it leads brave adventurers on a journey of discovery into the mountain. A beautifully situated high valley awaits us at the end of this tunnel. After a half-hour hike, the Gallruthalm Alpine hut is a welcoming retreat in which to marvel in the majestic mountain landscape. The Dr. Angerer High-Alpine Trail leads back to Falkaunsalm. (Children must be accompanied by an adult. ALTERNATIVE (GALLRUTH-STOLLEN) HIKE TO THE KLEINE AIFNERSPITZE PEAK Walk directly past the Alpine hut and ascend through beautiful pastures surrounded by Swiss stone pines. During the pleasant ascent, the well-marked path leads above the forest line to a wide ridge called the Schweinleger. Once you’ve arrived at the small cross, which is located on a large stone foundation, enjoy a wonderful view into the Kaunertal and Inn valleys as far as Switzerland. (Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments available at the Aifner Alm.) The Kaunertal Glacier Road offers safe access to Gepatsch in the Kaunertal valley, a magical place in the midst of a glacier shaped mountain landscape at about 2,000m.
