Twin-Path® Mine Tow Straps Equipment recovery in surface www.titansupply.ca mining operations has become much easier with the introduction of the Titan Supply High Performance Fiber, Twin Path® Tow Straps with CornerMax™ Sleeves. Extremely strong and light weight, the high modulus, low elongation, K-Spec® fiber does not store energy to the same degree as other materials like wire and chain. Subsequently, Twin-Path® Tow Straps do not dissipate stored energy and have very little, if any, whiplash effect at failure. There light weight feature means quicker recovery reducing down time and manpower requirements. These Tow Straps include two CornerMax™ Sleeves with Dyneema® Fiber for protection at the connection points.

CornerMax™ Sleeves with Dyneema® Fiber

The CornerMax™ Sleeve is the latest in rigging solutions from SLINGMAX® Solutions and Titan Supply LP. The CornerMax™ Sleeve is the ideal solution to protect synthetic slings from cutting when it is not practical to use a CornerMax™ Pad, whether due to curvature of the load edge or repetitive uses such as unloading steel coils. Independent field and laboratory testing has shown the CornerMax™ Sleeve to be extremely cut resistant. The CornerMax™ Sleeve is made with Dyneema® Fiber and is proven tough. Sleeve designed to protect up to 25,000 lbs per inch of sling width. The true benefits of this revolutionary material far outweigh the costs and now provide for the use of synthetic slings in applications previously dominated by heavy chain, mesh and wire rope slings.

K-Spec Core Yarn K-Spec core yarn strength retention is based on test results of components at 65°C/150°F (or less) for 6 months. K-Spec has a 100% strength retention when exposed to: Age, 10% detergent solution, rot and mildew, sunlight and Toluene; 99% strength retention when exposed to: acetic acid, gasoline, hydrochloric acid 1m, hydraulic fluid, kerosene, and sea water; 98% retention when exposed to: 25% ammonium hydroxide, 10% hypophosphite solution, and 40% phosphoric acid; 97% retention when exposed to 5m sodium hydroxide; 95% retention when exposed to Portland cement and sulfuric acid; and 88% retention when exposed to Clorox®;and nitric acid.
