ACADEMIC LITERACY A Holistic Approach Molly Maynard This book explicitly targets academic literacy and teaches common academic tasks, including effective note-taking and study-reading. The book is designed to meet the needs of community college courses in reading or integrated reading and writing, and can also be used in bridge courses. Molly Maynard earned her master’s degree in English at California State University, San Jose and went on to receive a certificate in post-secondary reading and learning at California State University, Fullerton. She is currently a professor and the English Department coordinator at Truckee Meadows Community College. TEACHING LITERACY IN EARLY AND MIDDLE CHILDHOOD Dr. Karen Loman, Dr. Angela Danley, and Dr. Natalie Tye This text combines practical and theoretically sound instruction strategies for literacy with learning activities for educators. Designed as a supplement for standard textbooks, the anthology is well-suited to courses in K though 6th education, English instruction, and reading. Dr. Karen Loman is an assistant professor at the University of Central Missouri, the owner of an educational consulting company, and the author of Targeted Reading Interventions. Dr. Angela Danley is an assistant professor at the University of Central Missouri. She earned her doctorate in pre-K through 12th grade leadership. Dr. Natalie Tye holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy analysis and is a faculty member at the University of Central Missouri.
