RELIGION AND ETHICS TODAY

God’s World and Human Responsibilities, Volume 1 Emmanuel K. Twesigye The first of two volumes this text combines the major themes and topics that are at the core of Western religions and ethics. The material examines central religious and moral issues and their correlative founders, teachers, and systems from an evolutionist approach. Written from a theistic evolution as a new standard approach to teaching theology and ethics, the text explores its topics outside the borders or confines of a single, traditional religious denomination and its concomitant confessions or dogmas. Written for intellectually inquiring students and educators and designed to be used with the second volume of the same name, Religion and Ethics Today is well-suited to introductory religious survey courses, classes on comparative religion, and any course that deals with theology, ethics, or the philosophy of religion.

God’s World and Human Responsibilities, Volume 2 Emmanuel K. Twesigye The second volume presents students with a holistic, postmodernist approach to central topics and issues in religion and ethics. Each religion is explored and evaluated based upon a set of moralistic criteria, including nonviolence, environmental protection, inclusion, and more. Emmanuel K. Twesigye, who holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, is Benedict Professor of Christian Studies and the Sharp-Davies-Trimble Professor of Religion at Ohio Wesleyan University. He has held faculty visiting fellowships at Princeton University, Harvard University, and Boston College. Dr. Twesigye is also an Episcopal priest in the United States.
