neighborhood kindergarten
The windbreaks of the farmland surrounds the kindergarden, giving a reserved and mysterious presence. The kindergarten took the centre position and divides the land into two open fields, with one side overlooking the existing playground. The drive of the project is keeping nature. The planning was done carefully to keep the surrounding trees protected. The kindergarten has a wooden exterior. Part of the building hugs the hilly topography giving the user groups the advantage of being closer to the landscape. The spaces were planned for 100 children of 2 different age groups. The ground floor caters for 4 groups of children aged 0-3, while 2 groups of children aged 4-6 are on the first floor. Both floors feature wide play floor space for kids to hang their cloaks and space to run around.
