September 8th, 2015
Greetings! It is our pleasure to announce the approval of a new Day Habilitation WOW program “Set the Pace”, offered through Select Human Services, Inc. and scheduled to open on January 11th, 2016. This is an exciting offering for young adults that have exited high school, have chosen to self-direct and are between the ages of 21 – 25 years old. It will operate within the backdrop of Pace University’s Pleasantville campus and provide wonderfully unique and diverse opportunities within the campus environment and throughout the local community. Mike Voron, the coordinator for the Pleasantville Laboratory Program, based at Pace University, has been key to the creation of this program and will contribute to its direction and growth. Other community, university and agency colleagues will also play essential roles in Set the Pace. There are many details to this new program, and for that reason, we have scheduled an information session at our Judy Voron Life Skills Studio (located side-by-side with our main office at 17-19 Marble Ave., Pleasantville) on Monday October 5th at 6:30 pm. We welcome families, individuals, brokers, MSC’s and all other parties interested in exploring this creative service choice. Please feel free to call me at ext. 128 if you need to determine whether this information session makes sense for you. Thanks and we look forward to having a great discussion with everyone on the 5th. Light refreshments will be served. Best, Debbie McGinness Debra J. McGinness, MSN, RN Executive Director
